Anyone know the weight difference between the 6.2 and 3.0? I assume the trans will be lighter too.

Apparently it's not light enough to kick the TRX into the lower GVWR category. The new VINs start with 1C6SRFUP - the "S" signifies the weight category from 7001 lbs to 8000 lbs. On the peasant 5th Gens with the Pentastar V6, those generally have an "R" instead (which is 6001 lbs to 7000 lbs).

Maybe Ram will throw in some type of trombone exhaust set up on the I6 (like Raptor did), so it doesn’t sound like a fart. Oh that’s right… that didn’t work, it still sounded terrible. V8 SC TRX all day!

Maybe, but BMW does wonders with the in-line 6. V6 always sounds like crap. More potential with the inline.

The 6 in the bmw sounds good, I just can't come to grips with the 6 cylinder sound coming out of a big truck like the TRX. Like a body builder that sings soprano.

There is a couple videos on the 5thGen Ram FB group. Someone followed the TRX mule for a bit. It sounds like a lawnmower...Not sure if an aftermarket exhaust will save it but definitely sounds awful.

It could be 10,000 hp and I’d never get over the sound. Maybe it’s just the video but that sounds worse to me than the gen 3 raptor.

This was an Oscar worthy performance. I laughed I cried I threw up.

The more you watch it the funnier it gets. RAM really brought that weak sauce on this one. This is right up there with the new electric Charger sound. Hopefully it gets ridiculed just as much.
