Why do they put the swirly white and black wrap over certain parts?
It's camouflage. Keeps people from being able to distinctly identify test mules. Why do they put the swirly white and black wrap over certain parts?
I would say the opposite, as CEO of Dodge for a decade, his only success was the 6.2L Hemi and tricking people in buying the SRT 392 by rebranding the car Scat Pack. If the 6.2 Hemi never existed, every other project he touched was a failure. It's tragic the only brand new Dodge vehicle brought to production was the Hornet under his tenure, everything else was either a remix or removalI feel for Tim. Decades of successfully marketing the HEMI brand and then these hedge funds that own the world make him ditch it for sissy motors and EVs.
All sounds good, except for that little thing we call facts. They've already built test vehicles for the 2025 TRX, and it's confirmed to be the Hurricane HO engine. Oops.SO, I will say this, when the Raptor went from its 6.2, Boss V-8 to its Ecoboost V-6, everything was better, mileage, power, torque but for the sound...So with RAM moving toward the Twin Turbo six Hurricane, all is the same for the Hurricane vs the two Hemi's, but for the sound...
So, I will be the first to predict that they have something else up their sleeve as they always do. I will bet that the TRX Hurricane will be something more that all the "insiders and speculators" are guessing at. They had it wrong with the 1 year Durango, now 3 years; the Demon 170, as all were calling it the Ghoul or Goblin at 850 HP; the 1 year Jailbreaks which are now all Hellcats; 2023 being the final year for the 6.2 TRX, which is now 2024 model year....and so on....You know who you are, lol....
Gonna be more than everybody is predicting......as in the words of Butter, Just Saying....and I want credit when it comes due...
Eighty, first off, your information has always been pretty factual. on point, and you bring an "A" game to this forum. Thank You!All sounds good, except for that little thing we call facts. They've already built test vehicles for the 2025 TRX, and it's confirmed to be the Hurricane HO engine. Oops.
I also believe that there could be a yet unannounced super high output version. There is no reason that a modern I6 can’t make huge power.Eighty, first off, your information has always been pretty factual. on point, and you bring an "A" game to this forum. Thank You!
HOWEVER, I'm just saying that I understand that there is Hurricane Six in the 2025 TRX, but does anyone REALLY know the output for the TRX? I don't remember seeing any info as to the numbers FOR the 2025 TRX, just the generic numbers for the Hurricane itself, and the fact that the Mules have the Hurricane in them. No performance figures posted anywhere for the TRX.
Straight from Stellantis' News outlet:
"Stellantis promises, will offer "more than 400 horsepower and more than 450 lb-ft of torque," at a max of 5,800 rpm. The high output variant will offer "more than 500 HP and more than 475 lb-ft of torque" at up to 6,100 rpm in their initial configurations".
I'm looking at the "more than" and "initial configuration" part. Could there be "more than" is all I'm saying...also, Koval said before he got canned to TFL Truck; "what about electrification?" at one of the Car Shows this year.
So maybe there is a small electric motor on the engine like the past V-8's that provide a bump in Torque? A tune that's beyond an "initial configuration"?
IDK...NOBODY does right now... But Horsepower sells cars, Torque wins the races...
Right now, Ford is saying their 2024 Raptor R will be "more than" 700 HP.....But, nobody really knows as of yet, only speculations. RAM/Dodge are good about surprises and keeping secrets and also putting out fake news to throw people off.
All I'm saying is, can a brother get his Cred if it's "More Than"...lol If not, then no harm right?
And he cheated a bit with the Hornet, being its an Alfa Romeo with different skin.I would say the opposite, as CEO of Dodge for a decade, his only success was the 6.2L Hemi and tricking people in buying the SRT 392 by rebranding the car Scat Pack. I said in a video back in 2021, there was no reason for the Durango Hellcat to be a one year only run because sources was telling me it was minor updates they had to do to the fuel system to make certify for 2022. So a year later I was proven right.Eighty, first off, your information has always been pretty factual. on point, and you bring an "A" game to this forum. Thank You!

Lastly, a Test Mule is exactly that......is not a Final Production model and are destroyed after tests are completed, they are not sold.

BOOM!
because FJB said you don't need a V8, "come on man"Welcome to Stellantis where they will source the cheapest parts in the most expensive vehicles.
I would love to see how Tim Scamniskis is going to show us a Inline 6 Hurricane is better than a 6.2L Supercharged Hemi
I would fucking LOVE a Twin Turbo V8 like the BMW uses. That motor is amazing. I would also welcome an electric motor for mild hybrid assist. Extra torque, better MPG. Hell yeahWhat if we are all wrong and the 2025 has a twin turbo V8, something smaller like BMW uses, and it makes a shit ton of power and all our supercharged 6.2's drop in value like a dead fly. Wouldn't that suck for us? Not saying it's true, but it would suck.....
Your TRX privileges are hereby revoked. First rule of shitty mileage club is you don’t talk about shitty mileage.Would be nice if it had cylinder deactivation or something.
Gotta fit that red eye blower under there!I'm not sure one way or the other. The test mule is missing the decal, so the middle ridge appears pronounced due to the reflection. But I could almost swear that it's a bit taller.

The 3.6 V-6 will not be offered in the TRXGood thing it isn’t a V6.
From what I’ve heard there are 3 levels of Hurricane motors. Level 1 is 400 hp and level 2 is 512 twin turbo and crate X which is supposed to be 1000 hp. Don’t know if all is true and the crate X won’t be an option.Eighty, first off, your information has always been pretty factual. on point, and you bring an "A" game to this forum. Thank You!
