I said in a video back in 2021, there was no reason for the Durango Hellcat to be a one year only run because sources was telling me it was minor updates they had to do to the fuel system to make certify for 2022. So a year later I was proven right.
And if you look at the screenshots of the 2025 mule, they used the transmission from the Wrangler 392, Ram 1500, and the Wagoneer and that trans is rated at a max of 550 ft of torque. Even if there is a an electric motor to boost power, they still would need a more powerful transmission because of the type of EV motors they use in their hybrids. Stellantis press release and crate engine documents confirm the Hurricane HO will be between 500 and 510 hp, hence the smaller transmission. If the 2025 TRX had the 8HP95 trans, I would all day say 2025 TRX will have 700hp either through a tune or hybrid setup.
The 4xe vehicles still have the smaller inline 4 engine and cheap transmissions because they can't get the inline 6 hybrid to work right from what engineers told me 2 years ago from performance to packaging issues with the rear seats. If they did, we would have seen a new Trackhawk, which a Jeep spokesman confirmed last year they would make a performance hybrid Grand Cherokee. And you would think they would put that system in a SRT Grand Wagoneer to take on the Escalade V.
