FAS lower pulley...

So what do I do? Pull the pulley off and junk it?
Sure fire troubleshoot is to swap for another predator installed on a different TRX that has no sound. If that one is noisy too, then it's your truck's ecosystem. If quiet, then issue with initial pulley perhaps?

I’m not running one just saying and you voided you warranty by putting it on. I have an intake on mine and hit a 12.0 in 68 degree day. Intake don’t void my warranty and cause issues. You should do an upper and a time and then it’s done right.

I did double check the install. I even had it removed and reinstalled. No change. Don’t know what that sound is. I haven’t heard anyone else’s WOT video from inside the cabin so I can compare.
Did you have intake on before predator? The intake makes things much louder (whine-wise) so perhaps if you swap back to stock pulley, the dentist drill sound would still be present. Then you'd know it had nothing to do with predator and you could take it in to get diag'd

In the video it almost sound like a high pitch ping or harmonic noise. Almost like a high pitch rattle

yea its def not supposed to make that sound. Im wondering if it was there before but it wasnt augmented by the intake so he didnt know. Especially with an aftermarket exhaust that will drown things out too

Then it would still be that way. And being that he has intake and exhaust means it’s way louder then he is experiencing tbh

It blows my mind how people are more worried about what kind of oil they use to void the warranty over putting a slip on pully that only causes problems and voids your warranty for power that you have to tell you can feel and makes it worth it. If you’re gonna do it then do it! And be even more happy when you hit the gas because the upper pully injectors and tune actually are done right and make a difference. OUT!!!! Good happy hour tonight! 😎

I did have the S&B intake on the truck before the predator install.

Here is another video I took just now. I have two other mods that I didn’t really consider mods. Alcon front brakes and Ripa driveshaft. Don’t know if those mods would create this high pitch noise. I also felt the truck pinging a bit at WOT. I put only Shell 91 fuel in it.

It could be the drive shaft tbh. It sounds like a harmonic noise to me

cant really hear it in that video unless it's only for like 1 second around the 11sec mark? does it get louder if you open a window? why is it not present at WOT in the first 2 gears during your pull? makes me think it's a speed related issue and not necessarily a top of each gear/ max boost issue

Yeah, it does. Just don’t know why the pulley is doing it on mine and nobody else’s. I may pull it off next week and send it back.

Ok, but why is it doing it at all? Is wind hitting something at higher speeds and causing the issue?

put a gopro in your engine bay and under your running board area and do the pulls again
That would be my next step. I have to go out and get go pros. Most likely, I am going to pull it off and send it back or sell it off. I don’t want to deal with this issue for a bit more power. Just not worth it.

I seriously do not think it's predator related. I think it's your driveshaft or a wheel bearing or an axle or something speed related that starts to scream when you get above 70mph.

As you mentiond earlier, the fact that you can still hear it when you let off the gas ---- that takes the predator out of the suspect list IMO

I’m pulling the driveshaft off and sending it back to Ripa as it makes a lot of tinny noises at low parking lot speeds and when shifting from park to reverse to drive and back and forth. It is very noisy. I’m putting the stock driveshaft back on Tuesday so I can return the driveshaft to see what’s wrong with it. It may be the driveshaft but it didn’t do it before the predator install.

You only had the driveshaft on for how many miles before adding predator? Now you've got predator on and you're flooring it more often and now the driveshaft has a few miles on it and is singing it's song. I'd do a full undercarriage check before ripping off the Ripa. Check for grease anywhere. Check CV boots/etc for tears/etc. Check to see if there's any signs of something else. Then if nothing, swap the drivesahft and see if it still happens. I'd swap driveshafts 3x before i swapped the predator out.
