Effective, Inexpensive, Simple Security Device

You can also cut through the steering wheel with a hacksaw in a few seconds and be on your merry way. As the Newark car thief in the video posted on the site a couple of weeks ago said, they leave the club laying in the parking spot where your car used to be.
I dont believe thieves are expecting Clubs anymore, they aren't carrying hacksaw, takes too long.

I like that idea, too. Program memory position #2 to that configuration - makes it easy to do. Get out of truck, press #2, flip hidden switch, and lock it up. Come back, flip switch, recall memory #1, hop in, and drive away.

Edit - and Stringfellow Hawk beats me by 3 minutes :ROFLMAO:
(just playing around, HeliPilot... nothing but respect for aviators)
I’m old enough to know the reference. It probably swayed my decision to fly Heli’s.

Installed mine. Works exactly as expected. It's awesome for the price point.

You can essentially consider your remote start useless though, the range is very minimal

Glad it worked for you. The remote range is an aggravation. Wouldn't the Ravelco also nullify the remote start? Either way, at liked it because I didn't have to splice into anything on the truck, and the price was insignificant.

Yes I believe that's correct. For me I wasn't even going to entertain the Ravelco so I'm pleased

Crazy idea, as I see on post #145 the antenna on the mobilistics is kinda small. What if you move it to be part of the relay leg that goes to ground to amplify the range. Then again I don't know if it would fry the internals once the relay is energized

You're above my head, partner. I'd be interested to know if it would work though.

Okay, I'm staying one night in Las Cruces on my drive back to CA and plan to pull this relay overnight at the hotel and carry faraday bags with me just in case. Any reason I should be concerned with this temporary method? Truck will start no problem when pulling the starter relay overnight and plugging it back in the next morning? No batter resets needed?

Got my IGLA appointment for literally day after I get back.

Also, anyone have a recommended faraday bag they use?

No, no battery resets needed. All that would happen if you tried to start it without the relay is the truck would set an OBD-II code for failure to start - which does NOT light the Check Engine light, and will clear itself after a few successful start cycles. So nothing to worry about.

This is even easier and you only need 1 fob.

That take a minute, maybe 2 to defeat, simple lock pick set, a drill, a cordless grinder with a cutoff blade ect. It also doesn’t stop someone from stealing it, even with it attached, it just makes it hard to turn🤷‍♂️

With the IGLA, there is no need for a faraday bag with a mopar. There is added security software that blocks relay attacks(using a scanning device to clone/copy your key signal) and also blocks them from making a new key fob. Not even a dealership can make a new key without putting it into service mode or disabling IGLA.

Agree, but on my drive back I won’t have an IGLA, so I’m planning to take a faraday bag with me to stay in a hotel.

If any of y'all do order, please add your reviews. The last thing I want is a bunch of folks order this on my recommendation, then one of the forum MacGyvers figures out how to defeat it in 7.5 seconds with a toothpick and bubble gum.
The relay you speak of literally takes 30 seconds to a minute at most to defeat. Open hood, open fuse panel, pull your relay, stick in a 2 inch piece of wire or paperclip and drive away. You can also pull your relay, pull another one out for something not needed to run like headlights or hvac ect and put it in the starter relay spot. Almost every vehicle has multiple relays that are the same.

That works and should be fine. You can still pull the starter relay too as a backup but they can still take it in other ways like putting it in neutral and pushing it to a waiting flatbed ect. Thieves are getting bold. When you get the IGLA, be sure to disable the neutral cable if equipped. You can also add a backup gps module with battery backup like drone or even a cheap standalone one off amazon that has a 24 hour battery backup

Any of these relays can be swapped to the starter relay spot in a few seconds. There are probably a few thieves on this forum that are reading these posts so they know what to do when they relay your key fob signal and go to start it and it does nothing. They know its not IGLA equipped because they cloned the signal which IGLA blocks. They can also look by their knees and see if it has a ravelco, after that its either a starter disable switch which can only be within reach of the driver or the starter relay is pulled or swapped with the fob controlled one. Before long they will just carry an extra relay. I for one wouldn’t chance it with my $100,000+ vehicle.

No faraday recommendations? Several on Amazon, just wasn’t sure if anyone had good experiences they’d share?
