Effective, Inexpensive, Simple Security Device

There's a valet sequence that disables the Moblisitics for 10 starts. It's activated in some manner involving the 2nd button on the remote. You may have inadvertently activated it. The instructions explain how to activate/deactivate it.
I guess, I will have to look into this.. Thks

Someone out there who has time and funds should design a small biometric fingerprint device similar to the ones used on gun safes. It will allow remote start but will not drive. If scan fails 3 times, it shuts system down and locks brake’s after which a pin is required to disarm system. If tampered with it automatically locks down the vehicle.
Why doesn’t Stellantis do something like this already? It’s annoying.

Stellantis (@RamCares) has demonstrated that they don’t care if your truck gets stolen by their inaction. These trucks are just one step above a Kia/Hyundai when it comes to security.

Right.. I mean how hard is it to send out a pin code security update as a start at least.

That would require them to care. Also to spend the time and money on the development. The dealerships are their customer and after they've made that money they're done. I don't see them doing anything even with all the pressure from owners like us.

This has been a great read. Ordered the starter relay setup for my Jeep.
Just keep in mind it can be removed and the relay next to it can be put into its spot and it will be back to normal.

I understand. Unfortunately I start a two week trip this Friday and don’t have time for an IGLA and compustar installment. I’m just looking for something at this point to help things be a little more secure.

Be sure to go into uconnect and set the parking brakes automatically. That is another thing that can help too.

Being from Alabama, you can just stash it at my house while you're gone. My teenage daughter will keep the battery charged for you. :)

If you dont rx it on time, Just pull the starter and fuel relay.. ;)

Mud Rat, that is very kind of you! I will think about that the next time :)

Package came in just in time for tomorrows trip. Works as advertised although I would like to have been able to get a spare “case” from another Mopar relay and camouflage it better. There are no markings on the black relay anywhere.
