Effective, Inexpensive, Simple Security Device

Great thread, I ordered my NoStart on Friday.

Hopefully you'll like it. I only use it when I go somewhere that requires me to leave the truck parked in a location that worries me, but it sure is easy to swap the relay and have a sense of security. And the price is tough to beat for a security system.

Didn't hear anything. Once or twice I pushed the start button on the truck and the starter wouldn't engage, so I hit the relay fob again and the truck started as soon as I did (without touching the start button again).
I always hit my ignition button first and the relay fob second...starts every time

Reviving this thread, I just got off the phone with Mobilistics and you can now order a key fob that is passive in nature. You have to ask for it on the order, but you can get a fob that will start transmitting to disarm the relay every time the fob moves. He indicated that they are not promoting this as it burns through batteries in about 6 months in this mode.
But with this set-up the security is essentially invisible to the owner of the truck. You just keep the fob on your keychain and and start your truck as normal, with no additional steps.
Thought I'd let you guys know in case that peaks anyone's interest.

That’s awesome. That guy was awesome when I called. I still have a relay I never installed because I got lucky and got IGLA.

Just a thought, but won't the thief know to take one of the factory relays with him and pop it in?

why both? just the oem relay should be enough. The spare battery could leak or just go bad in time.
Great question- we go to remote locations and I carry backups for my backups. Out here you get used to carrying power supplies, battery jumpers, chainsaws (to clear downed trees), water, etc. If the relay was somehow damaged, then at least I could change out the battery in the fob. Easy backup.
We live in NE Washington near Idaho/Canadian border. We have just a couple gas stations within 30 miles. Nearest fast food is 60 miles away. And that's just the way we like it.

just get 2 relays then. The spare battery will eventually go bad even if you are not using it

yes- that's why I'm locking the hood on my 392 (just delivered to Granger) and looking for a good way to lock the fuse box on my TRX. Looking for some good ideas...

I just wired in a hidden switch to my powered drivers seat…..if parking in a sketchy spot, seat position to full forward and powered off, good luck stealing it when you can’t fit 🤣

This is genius lol
I like that idea, too. Program memory position #2 to that configuration - makes it easy to do. Get out of truck, press #2, flip hidden switch, and lock it up. Come back, flip switch, recall memory #1, hop in, and drive away.

Edit - and Stringfellow Hawk beats me by 3 minutes :ROFLMAO:
(just playing around, HeliPilot... nothing but respect for aviators)
