EBC Brakes Announce NEW High Performance Pads

This is really great news! I had EBC red stuff on my vortech supercharged SRT8 charger. Can’t wait to see how they perform on the TRX.

Thank you everyone for your input and to all those that entered for a chance to test our latest pads, it will be extremely valuable to get your feedback on these and we are excited to hear what you think. From the points raised in this forum thread we have decided to change the name to ST-Series (Sintered Truck), which will align with our current SR-Series pads (Sintered Race).

It was difficult to narrow the winners down to just three for pads and rotors, so as well as that we will give all those that participated a set of pads also.
Winners of pads + Rotors are @SorbSRT @IowaRam & @KnightMare , congratulations!

And for the other participants @RobsTRX @Guns22 @Deluxesp @JumpSquadAuto @Tomahawk @MFG @jonny_pockets @TerrysTRX @JohnEB @Bubba @TReX-RAM you will all get a set of pads as well!

Please reach out to us in the private conversations with your mailing address and we will work on getting your products out to you as soon as possible.

These pads are currently still being tooled and an exact completion date is still being worked out, but it should be some time in the next 4-6 weeks, so we appreciate your patience.

For those of you still waiting on your truck to arrive and those that missed this opportunity, we will hold another giveaway in the future so keep an eye out!
Thanks! This is awesome. Appreciate it.

What the absolute fuck is “military grade”?
I agree! I absolutely hate it when companies use that terminology in hopes that it will sell more of their products. Apparently, the titanium rods that were implanted to suppirt my spine after I was blown up by an IED during the first Gulf War are "military grade"! I'll be sure to tell my neurosurgeon.

Wow, that's a lot of winners! Congrats everyone! Looking forward to the reviews.

whats your thoughts on the BWoody 5inch out of curiosity? My truck is on order and I am trying to decide if this is something I should order now or not. Thanks!
It's an easy clean install and sounds great. I dont feel any difference performance wise tho

Also, @EBC Brakes, when can we buy them? Or at least see them? Need to rotate my tires in the next couple months. If I was gonna do a brake job, that would be a good time.

Great move! And it gives people an idea of where these pads will fit.

Speaking of use, I have a question?

Off-roading (crawling) needs a cold bite, cold high mu pad since they don’t tend to get hot and need max grip.

Off-roading (fast trail) needs cold bite, cold high mu pads since there are long stretches of no brake use and hence cold pads, followed by panic stops (wash outs, 90 degree trail turns, or larger than known obstacles). These cold pad stops of vehicles with large tires and heavy vehicle weight tend to ramp the heat way up. And a cold Autocross pad, or aggressive street pad is favored over a race pad. (Often on an aggressive pad, the driver will drag the brake periodically to keep heat in them so the pads have initial bite)

So the above off-roading needs two different pads.

Towing is a different animal altogether. But I’m not an expert or even knowledgeable on that (I use the Hawk LTS pad on the tow vehicle and they are not horrible)

Where will this new ebc pad fall in the off-roading catagory? The ram TRX has a heat dissipation problem due to the really thin rotor. Just regular driving, not even speeding (65-60 mph down I-80 from Tahoe to Sacramento) caused the stock brakes to fade.

6800 lbs will do that I guess.

To answer any questions regarding when these pads will be available, they are still in the final stages of development. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any delays this may cause, we are doing our best to have them ready ASAP and I will keep you all updated as it develops.
Thank you

I have forwarded this on to our tech department, will keep you informed on their response

Thanks. These trucks Definitely can use a Pad that operates under higher heat.
Just for daily driving. I can’t wait to see what the testers say.
I was about to drop too much money on a set of ax6 front pads and 1512 rear pads from carbotech.

But if these are being formulated for our thin rotors and heavy weight specific…

Careful with those Carbotech autocross pads. I put those on my Gen 1 Raptor and they worked, too well! In the dry I could easily get the abs to engage and stop significantly faster. The downside was they chewed through rotors crazy fast and it was really easy to lock up the brakes in the rain. I slide through an intersection one time and luckily didn't hit anything.

Yea. I hear that: I have xp8/6 combo on a 4800# truck running 35 inch Toyo RT.
Wilwood aero4 front and gm rear caliper.

We could definitely be friends! Nothings more fun the negative G's from braking!

When I had my 2015 Viper, I ran XP24 and XP10 and it braked from 150mph on the back stretch of COTA like you were throwing out an anchor with the added bonus of that rear end wiggle! Damn I miss that car!

@nineball knows what I'm talking about!

It is taking a bit of time to ensure the pads are quality assured and tested, I'm hoping to hear from them very soon and will keep you informed
Hopefully soon. I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary of crappy Ram TRX brakes :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
