EBC Brakes Announce NEW High Performance Pads

2010 Suburban 2500. I can say this from experience, EBC Extra Duty pads with Sport Rotors ...... the stopping power was great. But the pads wore into the rotors in 20K-30K of light use (no towing). And by "wore into the rotors", I mean the full width of the pads cut into the rotors 1/16" to 3/32". I could not tell if it was the pads were too abrasive or the rotors were soft. Sold it before I had to replace everything again.

I just stuck with green, i didnt want super squeal brakes for marginal improvement still using stock setup, plus rotors already get chewed up quickly anyway, and initial bite cold braking would be not as good as stock.

If i was towing or fully loaded all the time i might think of it, but the real solution is just better calipers and 2 piece rotors, with correct operating temp pads.

Its a shame carbotec doesn't make OE pads for our trucks…….yet, those would be my other choice and have some quality OE fitting pads.
With the EBC green pads, is it much better than the OE pads? Do the green pads also wear into the rotors? Trying to decide if worth it to swap to the green pads ? Thanks
