You’d have to change the radio module to a US/Canada market radio part number, which will have other unintended consequences depending on what market your vehicle is configured for.@Jimmy07 I remember that you mentioned that there is a WiFi daughter board inside the 12inch head unit. My WiFi and wireless android auto and carplay don't work as the factory disabled them due to region, AlfaOBD doesn't seem to have an option to enable it as I only managed to find a single WiFi Enable line that doesn't do much.
Based on this I am suspecting that the factory removed the WiFi daughter board.
Pictures would be great as well.
You can’t compare a 23 grand Cherokee configuration to a ram truck because they’re not compatible. The 23 grand Cherokee uses a proxi configuration, and ram trucks use a powernet configuration.I read the BCM config off a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee looking for the Ambient light in hope of understanding a way to enable the multicolour Ambient colour.
The following line is not showing in the TRX file:
Ambient Lighting Type: Type 0
Type 0 is one of 4 types from 0 to 3, I am assuming that other types are the multicolour option in the Jeep grand cherokee.
What is we add this like to the TRX line and restore it to the truck? Far fetched but thought I would mention it. Thoughts?
Good luck getting any kind of useful response from “support.”Done
@Jimmy07 Hi Jimmy, I got the following from a contact at the dealer, the SGW is still a separate unit but uses a different connector, check this out...You can’t compare a 23 grand Cherokee configuration to a ram truck because they’re not compatible. I have already figured out that there is no way to physically bypass the SGW on a 24 grand Cherokee with a wiring solution like we used to (or a 25 RHO for that matter, since they use the same sgw). The sgw must remain in place and on the network. The only way to make changes to the WL grand Cherokees is to use an OBD splitter, unlock the sgw with fca auto auth on one device that’s plugged into the obd splitter, then use alfaobd to make the changes on the other device that’s plugged into the obd splitter.@Jimmy07 Hi Jimmy, I got the following from a contact at the dealer, the SGW is still a separate unit but uses a different connector, check this out...
Do you think there is a way to change the configuration in thr 2024 grand cherokee like we do in the RAM?
Takes a bit for them to work right. They'll be white when you remote start but once you push the run button it'll turn amber. They'll stay amber until it gets dark and the truck turns the lights on.Very happy with this forum,
Just changed the DRL to amber and added the tailgate and it works perfectly.
will be doing the seatbelt on another day.
It was very difficult to know how to start to be honest a tutorial for the first timers like me would be great, I will try to take some screenshots for those who still are planning on doing it.
a question though, mine are white until I release the hand break and put it in drive or reverse, is it possible to have it always as amber and disable the white drl even if it's in park ?
Yeah it seemed to have work last year just fine, but for some reason it won't work this winter so far. Not that my local daily driving affects any performance. But if I decide to travel far I need it to work properly. I've had it idle with the vent heat on max for 20 mins, and still won't kick on the compressor. The AC shuts off if the cabin evaporator reaches 37F or below. It also turns off if it sees a system pressure of less than 40 psi. Those parameters are set forth to ensure your cabin evaporator doesn't freeze over and you don't prematurely burn up your compressor.
Did you try running the heat in your cabin first to get the evap above 37F and then turn AC on with chiller-only mode?
Mine stay amber in park, but I never use the parking brake so I don't know what the difference is.So updates on the car after a week, if I put it on park during day time the DRL lights are off although I enabled them from the screen.
They are amber if I’m on drive but the moment I put the gear into park and the handbrake will be engaged it will be back into white during the night (if I put the lights off or on the first switch so no headlights are on) and off during the day.
I’ve used the instructions on the first post, but is there a way to keep them always amber apart from the night while headlights are on?, I would like to see the amber on even when the car is at park with the handbrake engaged, to take a picture or see it my self.
