2023 - Left Turn Signal Will Not Reset

yea my dealer told me that they canceled the order for my clock spring and that they won't be able to place another order for it until January due to the strike. I wonder if they know there is a recall and are coming out with a new model. The reset on the turn signal only happed a few times for me. Its for of like a rubbing, popping sound that happens for me when I'm essentially stopped or a very slow speeds. I mainly notice it when I'm parking or backing into a spot.

I see. You were assuming there might be a recall. If there is a recall, it hasn't been published yet.

Someone already confirmed that the clock spring is not serviceable. I'm not sure if the multifunction switch was redesigned in 2023 or if there was a bad batch of them. Maybe something else was changed in 23 that's not playing well with the multifunction switch.
 
The "part" needed arrived at local dealer and I'll call today to find out what exactly the part is, and when I can get it scheduled. Minor inconvenience to be sure.

For context I had waited about 5 weeks for this to come in.

How do we fix it?

It would make no sense for each of us to individually take this in to our dealership and have them fuddle with it....

Just saw this on the 5th Gen forum. Apparently parts are still orderable (with the strike going on), but the dealers have to follow certain procedures to get them. Don't ask me what any of this means, I don't know.

Im sure all the dealers ordered a shitload of parts in the last few weeks. MOPAR setup a process for prioritization and approvals so things go smoothly.

In summary: Looks like dealers aren't able to order parts unless they are needed (2nd bullet). 3rd bullet suggests that MOPAR set up a contingency warehouse with the top 2500 parts and setup a code so dealers can order against that PDC (Product distro center) if their parts request falls under that category. 5th bullet says that the PDC's will ship parts first based on a VOR basis (Vechicle Off Road) ie: if vehicle is undriveable, on a priority. then special handling then daily orders. Daily orders is likely just dealer parts stocking.

Yes you can buy parts, im sure if this continues stock will be depleted but im going to assume the 2500 qty of parts they put in a secondary location gives time for them to setup MFG of needed parts outside of UAW control. Something like that.

It's unlikely the NHTSA is going to consider a left turn signal that doesn't turn off a safety issue.
 
You never know. Never hurts to try. Took me a couple minutes to fill it out and submit.
 
Yup - Multifunction switch being replaced this morning. Advisor said it's the second one they've done on a '23 so far.

Also getting a post break-in oil change at ~ 1,400 Mike's while it's here. Asked for the deal they had. (3 changes and tire rotations for $199).
That’s a great deal on the oil change! One oil change with pennzoil is like $120 each. My dealer replaced my signal stalk assembly (multifunction switch) and it didn’t help at all. It still doesn’t work. FCA is buying that one back. My lunar has the same issue, but it’s not as bad as my first 2023. Keep us posted on if it worked. I am hoping they have a revised part number because they replaced my defective one with an equally defective one.

Multiple defects to paint, driver door glass, steering wheel, dash, multifunction switch still doesn’t work after replacement, transmission doesn’t upshift and gets stuck, transmission issues not going into gear and leaving me stranded, etc. It was in the shop for 25 days in the first 40 days. I contacted FCA and they decided to buy it back.

I am much happier with my lunar. It matches my destroyer gray last call red eye charger jailbreak. The TRX is an awesome bad ass truck, but it’s not without its issues.

Sounds like your dealer has a great oil change special which is great. I am running Mobil 1 super car for now on my lunar and will go to Amsoil when my Mobil 1 stash is all used up.

Thats great that you actually got somewhere while contacting them. I reached out a few times about the issues I am having the don't do anything. They tell me that there is nothing they can do if the part is back ordered. You would think since a few dealers have it they can buy it from them and ship it to my dealer to install. I shouldn't have to buy a part from parts department from another dealer afters buying a 100k truck to have warranty work. How did you get in touch with them if you don't mind me asking.
