2023 - Left Turn Signal Will Not Reset

Add my name to the list, 2023 Lunar edition with left turn signal that only cancels half the time. Sounds like it needs a trip to the dealer.

Anyone have the dealer fix this recently? Does it work? Is there still a long wait for parts? My '23 rarely resets the left turn signal anymore. It's really starting to annoy me.

I think that I have had two times where I noticed the left turn signal not resetting but I’m not sure if I just didn’t turn the wheel enough for it to reset or not. I’m watching it more closely now. I’ve got a 2023 with around 6,000 miles and just noticed it within the last 500-1,000 miles or so.

Mine was not bad when new. Now at 10K miles and I've done a u-turn and still didn't reset lol.

Just flip the lever out to the auto bright position and it will reset every time. It's not worth a dealer visit for me.

Same here mine was really bad before I hit 10k miles.

I’m at 18k miles now and it seems to have corrected itself.

I put it off because like many, I dread the dealer visits and do whatever I can to solve the problem first, then go to dealer.

Try driving for a few more months and playing with the auto bright light position on the turn signal lever and see if one way or the other makes it more tolerable. Mine is completely gone. It’s been a year exactly.

They fixed my 23 with the updated part. AA was the old one that won't reset properly.

I have a early 21 truck with this issue :(

So my left turn signal failing to reset has gotten much worse recently. It is at around 95% of the time failing to reset. Best I can tell from this thread is that to fix this issue, PN 68545657AB needs to be ordered and installed. Correct?

Does anyone know if IGLA would need to be put into "Service Mode" for this repair?

23 Lunar and I’ve had that issue since the first month I got it. I thought it was the auto light thing too but just end up pushing it up myself when I turn now. Pretty lame

I’ll add this for @RamCares …..same issues on these trucks over and over. Some are lucky and have none, but fix the damn axle boots, the driveline clunk crap and the turn signals.

So I took the truck in to get the left turn signal diagnosed. Dropped it off Wednesday at 7:00 am. CompuStar tells me it did not start or move all day Wednesday after I dropped it off. So what is the point of making a Wednesday appointment? Could have dropped it off just as easily on Thursday morning.

They start it up on Thursday and tell me they cannot reproduce the issue but they are ordering parts for me anyway based on issues they have seen for the regular Ram 1500’s. Parts are out 11 days so will have to take it back in later to get this issue addressed.

As a side note, Valet Mode is worthless. Put it in Valet Mode Wednesday before I dropped it off. Picked it up Thursday afternoon and it was not in Valet Mode anymore. Drove it home just fine. Put it back into Valet Mode over night and this afternoon when I started it up, it is freakin out. Truck keeps cycling between Valet Mode and not as I’m driving down the road.

This is the reason why I'm content with leaving my turn signal stalk in the auto high beam position. If that doesn't work any more, I'll buy a new switch and install it myself. By the time I account for the wasted time going back and forth to the dealer, I'll be money ahead buying the switch and swapping it out myself. Plus I won't have to worry about joy rides and door dings.

2023 Lunar with Left Turn Signal reset problem (nearly 100% failed to reset) Now Fixed.

Multi Function Arm 68545657AA --> 68545657AB

New Part Number (AB Version) installed, now PERFECT EVERY TIME (just like my 2021 TRX was).

INSTALLED DECEMBER 2023 - New part feels, sounds and works perfectly....

But your plan fails to hold Ram accountable for their failure.

Possibly, but I just don't care. My time is too valuable to piss away multiple trips back and forth to the dealer. $150 out of pocket and 30 minutes of my time is acceptable.

As a bonus, I don't have to track the movement of my truck and wonder if it stayed in valet mode.

I took my TRX in for the ABS recall today and they also removed and replaced PN 68545657AB in the steering column. Left turns seem to be resetting now and there is definitely a quieter click when the lever arm resets. I can hear an audible difference for sure.

It looks like they may be admitting this is an issue now:

Thx for sharing! I was preppin for a fight bc it seldom malfunctions so dealer prob wouldn’t have covered it. Now I'll just wait & do my recalls in bulk.
