That might be best for me if you can do it…I think I can get it set up to be gone altogether if you want.

Finally had enough snow melt off the truck to test the factory parksense camera activation. Works great.

I believe anyone with a 2023+ (or at least a 2023+ CVPM in an older truck) should be able to enable this by changing the 14th position in the 62014E line to a 1 and restoring to that new backup.
I’m stoked to have factory integration because this function in the Tazer was buggy as hell.
It is done with AlfaOBD but not the traditional way where you just change settings under “car configuration change”.Based on this post, I am guessing this is not a change made with AlfaOBD?? Probably some code change that's way above my pay grade.![]()

Instead you would connect to the BCM as normal. Then click the car with the hood open, scroll down, and select “backup configuration to file”. It tells you where on the device the file is stored once done. Open that file with a text editor. It’s a bunch of alphanumeric lines starting with “62”. Find the one beginning with 62014E and change the number in the 14th position to a 1. Save the altered text document as a new file.
Go back to AlfaOBD under the same menu and select “restore configuration from file”. Select your modified backup file and it’ll load the setting with the parksense camera option when the restore is completed.
I believe Jimmy is coming up with a list of changes that Alexey will add to the app eventually so these things won’t need to be done through the “back door” like this. But for now this is the only way.
I’ve sent quite a few things to alexey to add, but he hasn’t been responding. Thanks for the detailed explanation. I really like this feature on my wife's Porsche, but I can use the surround view button until Alexey makes the changes in AlfaOBD.
Which other of the 3 did you do? What year is your truck? And what did you use to search for on eBay? I must of missed this or entering the wrong stuffI joined the clubI’m not sure if i’m gong to do all 3 stages eventhough I have already done 2 of the 3.

so that was kind confusing I guess….the digital cluster which I installed today was 1 of 3. Last weekend I upgraded to Uconnect 5 and just out of luck I got a 2023 radio. I just don’t know if I wan’t to go down the 2023 BCM road.Which other of the 3 did you do? What year is your truck? And what did you use to search for on eBay? Ok cool I have UC5 already in my 22. So Radio module and bcm for me, plus digital dash..I think if I read thru this thread rightso that was kind confusing I guess….the digital cluster which I installed today was 1 of 3. yea unfortunately you still will need a 2023 radio if you want the maps to show up in the cluster….if that is not a concern for you its not needed. You at least don’t need a new screen or conversion harness.Ok cool I have UC5 already in my 22. So Radio module and bcm for me, plus digital dash..I think if I read thru this thread right![]()
Maps for sure in cluster!yea unfortunately you still will need a 2023 radio if you want the maps to show up in the cluster….if that is not a concern for you its not need it. You at least don’t need a new screen or conversion harness.
that would most likely be the reason i do the 2023 bcm more than the custom tilesMaps for sure in cluster!
Yep! 2022s are really the ideal candidate for this swap.Ok cool I have UC5 already in my 22. So Radio module and bcm for me, plus digital dash..I think if I read thru this thread right![]()
You might as well. You’re 2/3rds done and the remaining 1/3 is the cheapest by far!that would most likely be the reason i do the 2023 bcm more than the custom tiles
the cheapest by far but might be the hardest part. Only saying that since I have a small city dealer and do I remove digital dash to do it or leave it in?Yep! 2022s are really the ideal candidate for this swap.

I did take mine out. I didn’t want them to report the wrong mileage on CarFax or whatever. I suppose you could also hold out until mileage correction is possible.the cheapest by far but might be the hardest part. I have looked at the back up file from AlfaObd and modifying that is not a fear for me at all. I’m guessing I will probably do the swap but later rather than soonerI did take mine out. The actual BCM replacement is no biggie even though I was sweating it at first. Think these techs are pretty robotic in carrying out their work. Probably not gonna check part numbers or question anything. And from what I can tell they don’t have to do anything beyond what they would do replacing a 2021 BCM with another 2021 unit.
someone already said they will take it and sent jimmy a pm.Great deal, I know someone else wants to join me in this madness!!!
Side note, I have a second brand new tile button coming if someone wants it for what I paid. Thing was/is backordered to eternity so I wound up getting one from another source, and the first one I ordered is just now finally enroute.
