I ordered a 2022 on Saturday (4 days ago) and my dealer already sent me a VIN today

What was the base price of the 22s

I would order what you want (if you can wait that long). I would not settle on a great truck that I may find mediocre because it doesn’t have what I I want. I’ve told myself I’ll wait till I can get the one I ordered. Just my opinion.

On an unrelated note, do you know if would upgrading to the Uconnect 5 would be possible on the 21 TRX?

I am sure it will be possible. but thats a guess.

the vehicle has everything I want and nothing I do not want. however its my second choice on color. First is hydro blue. and the carbon fiber is a somewhat want and it doesn't have it. however Chrysler products and carbon fiber don't always mix. I've got a few track hawks here 1 is a late model 2020 and the carbon is all separating. and this has been happening since the chry 300 srt 8 hit the scene. so its a loss i can do without. SO the only thing I am settling on is my second choice color WHITE and black. and Uconnect 5 obviously

Oh I gotcha now. After hearing the Uconnect 5 coming on the 2022 that’s my only damn on ordering a 21’. Then there will be another damn if the brakes got upgraded.

I thought they said Uconnect5 was not going to be in 22's? So confused. Well as quick as these trucks are selling...and slow as they are being produce....Order a 2022 now and when your truck comes in drive it a few months and sell it

I haven’t heard anything about the brakes, just complaining that they could be better. Just thinking outside the box that Ram may upgrade them after numerous people advocating for better ones.

they have the same system in my 2019 ram. and my ram has a 392 and a whipple pushing out more than the trx does currently stock to the wheels. and the brakes have needed to be replaced or reworked already. not many options either. slotted rotors and ceramic pads. Maybe after market bear or wilwood will make something since it is needed for sure.

Ahh, so did they confirm that ? There had been mixed reports on the UConnect 5 at this point from those that had placed orders for '22. Good to know it is there for sure.

There probably will be...once they start making them.
Which is supposedly in just over a month.

There really can't be any progress updates on '22s until they start making them.

New to the Forum and new to the ordering a vehicle from a dealership process, so please forgive me for any really stupid questions. That being said, I ordered a TRX on 6/25/2021 and I know its going to be around October (in theory) but my question is this, If they are retooling for the 2022 run and that is supposed to happen in July does that mean orders like mine wont get a VIN until they start up production for that model year? I am just trying to educate my self on the process.
I have read through the earlier posts and really appreciate the level of detail and information shared here. Other forums I have been a part of in the past were not nearly as organized as this one. Kudos to the group for the level of effort.
