So I was curious about FCA Chat and information they will and will not provide, so I started a chat a few minutes ago.

They did confirm my VIN for me but when I asked about my status and estimated delivery I quickly received the canned response: "Thank you for holding. The Ram TRX is slated for early Q1 2021 production. We currently do not have a specific build week or day at this time. Please continue to work with your selling dealer."

Sure would be nice if RAM brought back the tracking system buyers could actually use without harassing the dealers.

Checked with FCA chat myself and no vin yet, Dec 2020 order date so I'll give them a week or two.

I've discovered that FCA probably has a lottery machine or is pulling numbers out of a hat, because there's literally no pattern other than doing the same color in one line like they have been lately (Anvil and then Black).

I was also able to get a list of a dozen more that are on order at my dealership. Looks like 3 of them are already going to be showing up within the next few short weeks.

Only 4 out of the 13 are sold order, with mine being 1 of the 4. The others all appear to be dealer orders. Of the 3 that are close to shipping, 2 are sold orders and 1 is a dealer order.

The BG orders you are referring to are all dealer orders.

Mine was MSRP, but I’m not sure about the others.
I guess they could be dealer order that have since been sold. Just assuming they’re not as they don’t have names assigned to them.

Yeah the customer orders are supposed to have a name beside them but the rest seem to be dealer orders including the ones delivered

If I have a "VON" and dealer says its in BG status does that mean the order is in que?

Thats terrible considering so many posts on FB about people ordering in January and getting VINs in days...I was in the same situation and bailed on an order with a small local dealership. I felt kinda bad so I bought my wife a car from the dealership and then canceled my order

once things get ramped up - I think these are the codes FCA uses. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. So if customer service says you are BX you know where in the process you are.

Several has been built and shipped after mine which was ordered on Oct 5, 2020...... so I dont have more option but waiting..
