Trx front diff drop

How much is the axle tube assembly? I don’t see it on the site yet.

Well i just placed an order via Wragth so hopefully it comes with longer skid bolts & spacers (if needed)!

Price was only $626 shipped with pre-order special so definitely priced right!
Please record a video while installing

@On Track 4x4 the axle tube breakage isnt caused by the diff drop kit is it? I don’t want to create another potential problem lol. Would rather just blow CVs!

Did you see the billet axle tube we did to stop the right hand side mount from breaking off??
Is the right side mount breaking off because of the diff drop kit or is that happening on stock configurations over there?

First I'm hearing of it!

Its a 35mm drop, made from 6061-t6 billet aluminium.
Made in australia,
Has a full detailed instructions
All bolts and hardware is supplied,
Only specialty tooling needed is a holesaw.
Diff assembly can remain in the car while being installed.
What size holesaw? And what are we drilling out? Would like to get this in advance so it's here when the kit arrives.

I mean... Lowering the diff means the moment arm (the mount) is longer. Assuming the same force applied, the stress in the material would be higher with the lowering mount.

Dang man! Ur killin my dreams here haha! This true even though we're technically putting the diff close to where it was stock (since we have a 2.7" lift up front)?

You're putting the CV shafts closer to stock, sure, but the diff sits lower compared to the stock mounts. That means the arm that is mounting it is longer. The torque applied through the diff is the same either way, so you're getting a higher load on the mounts with this drop than you would at the factory height. You're basically trading a lower load on the CV axles for a higher load on the mount.

I'm by no means saying this is 100% going to cause failures. I haven't done the engineering behind it, BUT it will absolutely increase the load on those mounts. Will it be enough to damage them? I don't know.

Makes sense man but sometimes ignorance is bliss haha! Maybe that's why they made a billet diff tube too haha??

I guess we'll find out the end result of the higher load on the diff in the coming months

I'll order this when I see the directions and know I can do it without too much disassembly.

I felt the same way but decided to pull the trigger since its on super sale compared to what it was listed for (around $1200'ish). Figured for $600 you cant really go too too wrong esp. since they claim you dont have to pull out the diff

$1200 is the AUD price. $600 is approximately $100 of the USD price of $700

Haha here i was thinking i had to jump on the bandwagon stat! Either way though, we'll get it on and report back if/when we have any issues.

Got a pretty ambiguous email yesterday from Wragth RE our diff drop order saying an alignment may be a good idea...

@On Track 4x4 i thought you said an alignment wasnt needed?
