Will do... truck is pretty basic. I have Vossen wheels but the tire is still a 35", same as stock. I have a 1.5" level kit, nothing crazy. I have 17,000 miles on the truck and I got it December 2021 so I don't even drive that much and have gone through 4 driver side CV axle replacements. The first one took out the diff as well. So at this point, I'm giving these $3,800 RCV's a shot. If they work then great. If not, I'm selling the truck. I don't even take it off road too much. I do one desert run a year for like 150 miles of uneven sand/dirt, etc. but it is hard packed and more or less any 4WD/AWD vehicle can make it. Just sad that the stocks can't handle a pretty basic setup where I have had other trucks at 1/4 of the cost that can handle more and very reliably.
Very interested! We have a similar setup, except 37”s and my truck has 1/3 the miles. I’m hoping those RCV’s are the answer we are all hungry for!

I actually sold my truck because of this crap, got so bad I kept a axle in the bed all the time when traveling. I loved that truck, had Dusterhoff tune, e85 lift on 37's. The lift totally ruined the truck for any aggressive offroad. You loose to much up travel and the shock tops out in every bump. Lifting my trx was the worst possible mod I did, looked good though!!

How did you lift yours? Perch collar or block? And by how much. That’s my next move if RCV’s don’t do the trick, sell it.

Geiser springs, What they don't mention and i didn't give it much thought is you loose 3 inches of up travel with the springs, you are basically turning the truck into a mall crawler unless you like to hear and feel the front suspension top out over every bump. It ruined the capability of the truck offroad or in fast desert type running, i do not like the eay the trucks look with a 35, they look silly to me so going back to the stock look was a no go. I miss the truck, and if i get another i am doing the full king set up with control arms and everything. Oh btw there is going to be a new player in the front axle world coming down the line in the future. Can not give out any info right now.

Fully agree with you on the look. I have a 1.5” perch collar on 35’s so nothing major. I also don’t like the stock look with the front so low so will sell it if RCV does not work out.

That’s good news for those out there on a new player to help bring the cost down. RCV is expensive at nearly $4,000 for axles (that’s crazy) but if it solves the problem then I guess.

Hopefully some competition can bring the prices lower.

My plan was to get a raptor r just to try it out but i am not paying these stupid mark ups.

Just gott crank up the tunes man and let it eat 🤣

Got a vid you followed for replacing the CV? Been looking for a decent one so i know how to do it on the trail if necessary
For now put a factory CV back in...looking for the right solution. Factory part is $650/side....tempted to go with RCV - but chickened out worried that it could be pissing away $3,800. On a 2024 truck - I'm still pissed and amazed that this happened.

I am Eibach Pro springs (1.6") all around, 37's tires, Foutz Heim Panhard bar, Hellwig anti sways.

This is what has me hesitant to install the 1.6 springs or any spring in the front. Still have them laying around in the box for almost a year now. Installed the HD rear springs though. No issues.

They are in! Getting the install done 10/24. Let’s hope they work out. My stock driver side is shot again. I don’t understand how it’s possible. I have the same factory 35” tire diameter with a 1.5” level. As basic as it gets. Hopefully these RCV’s do the trick.
How’d the install go?

First Boot tear after 22,000 miles on my springs. Warranty is covering with no issues… but… may be time to start thinking about an aftermarket upgrade.

More info about the diff drop please! Had eibach 2.7/1.6 and 37s installed today and destroyed driver front cv on first launch. And it’s thanksgiving so everything is closed tomorrow. Any feedback on the $3800 shafts? I know there aren’t many out there yet but some info is better than none. Does the entire spindle have to come off the change shafts or can it be coaxed into position after removing the rotor and hub?

@FULLTHROTTLERICK waiting for your full test review on them too. Still haven’t installed the 1.6 lift for the front because of this. Would honestly like to “go big or go home” get 2.7 lift but only if the diff drop is 100% solid.

Sounds exactly like what happened to us but yours was more violent given the launch. I have 0 info on the RCVs other than @RoNiN confirmed they are indeed the exact same length as stockers and @Fifty who's indicated the RCVs may have a more pliable/less stiff boot on them so perhaps less prone to tearing? I wish someone would do a video on CV replacements for the Rex. I've replaced an entire steering rack on a UTV but never a CV axle.

All my eggs are still in the diff drop basket. We now have 3 solid runs on them and all good so far. No super flexy stuff yet but a few whoops, mud holes, and the usual stuff. I imagine the CVs will fail eventually like they normally would but I'm hoping the diff drop will keep them happy enough like they would be in a close-to-stock configuration. The true test IMO will be when we go to Gulches in a few weeks. We'll be doing some seriously off-camber, articulation stuff, rock crawling, full droop, spinning wheels in flexy situations, etc. So stand-by for that!

So i was actually thinking of a doing a diff drop review at some point. Need to get enough runs under my belt before I can give an honest opinion. We did the diff drop install vid and that was like an unboxing review baked in, but IMO a review of something like that needs to have some wheel time (slow technical and fast whoopy/etc). We'll be at Gulches Jeep badge of honor park next month so we'll probably have enough evidence to give a review afterwards 🧐
