Lol at 175k for a part that may not fix the problem.

RE whether boots would be stronger than OEM, they said this:

They would be stronger than OEM, yes. No way to test how much better than testing in the field but we would use proven boots from our Ford Raptor line.

Christian

$300 cheaper than Rogue’s $3800 offering is a good start especially if they really make good products. Id throw $3500 at it if i never had to worry about them leaving me stranded

Sounds like a front diff swap, with tried and true axles, or possibly go with the setups like lifted atvs and rock crawlers have, or…. Just convert to 2wd; probleM solved.

Isnt the one from rogue from rcv as well and you don’t have to get 50 people to do a group buy?

i thought the one from rogue was their homemade attempt to beef up the factory CVs. I recall seeing a requirement that we send them our stock CVs if memory serves.

It’s a whole new setup from what I’m reading on the details section…

RCV Ultimate IFS CV Axles for Independent Front Suspension are designed to overcome the limitations of Dodge Ram 1500 IFS axle shafts. Ultimate IFS CV Axles provide increased strength that original equipment axle shafts just can't match. Even if you have big tires and big power there are no worries. Ultimate IFS CV Axles are low maintenance, and are backed with a "No Questions Asked" limited lifetime warranty. Our IFS CV axles meet and exceed the strength of a straight axle swap, while allowing you to maintain the traction, smoothness and control of your IFS. Put the power down with confidence!

The axles feature a double-offset inboard CV joint that is comprised by 1-inch balls and 300M internal components. The outboard CVs utilize our Dana 60 architecture with combination of 4340 & 300M components optimized for maximum strength. The center bar is 35 spline 300M, the strongest in the industry. The RCV developed moly grease is used in the CVs to control heat build-up in even the most extreme use environments. Black oxide coating is standard. Optional nickel plating is available for extra corrosion resistance in salty environments

I know their Bronco axles are lifetime warranty up to 40” tires.

Has estimated 9-12 months though (it’s a preorder)
It’s been a “preorder” since at least November of 2022. RCV hasn’t started making them according to RCV. In other words, it appears Rogue may be trying to get enough preorders to be able to pay for the initial order RCV needs to develop the kit. That isn’t confirmed on my end but it sure appears to be that way. The Rogue kit is non refundable as well. It would really suck to drop that non refundable money and the axles never get built because they didn’t get enough preorders. A little more transparency would be nice and they may get that amount they need. We aren’t currently an RCV dealer but I am thinking about buying in to become one.

I ran RCV axles on my jeep as a daily driver slash weekend wheeler. They make top notch shafts and stand by their warranty. I cracked a boot after about 4 years and they shipped a full replacement / service kit for both shafts no cost.

Ok so it sounds like Rogue was taking pre-orders and they were getting around $300 profit per set. So we can bypass them and save the $300 if we get 50 of us to commit. We just need the richest motha F'er on the forum to put down a cool $175k so RCV can get started on our kits :ROFLMAO:

I'm 100% in and so is @BryanE4435 if we can get the other 48......

Wait a minute 😂 I just now learned about these shenanigans (just finished reading the thread)….. but yes I’m in!!!!! Take my damn money!!!!!! I already had to replace it once.

FYI - the latest OEM CV part number ending in AG is supposed to fix the problem of torn boots which lead to the joint failure. Before exploring expensive aftermarket options, it might be easier to get a set of the AG's and give them a try...just my 2c.

Ive got a spare “AG” coming but They’re on indefinite backorder apparently. Thats great to know though man. Did a dealer mention that?

EXCELLENT NEWS GUYS - RCV just confirmed that if we get the requisite buyers for at least 50 sets, they could likely get the price down from $3500 to $2999/set!

INCLUDES LIFETIME WARRANTY AGAINST BREAKAGE.

Sub-$3k is a much easier pill to swallow! Come on guys!! Going to start a poll!
