Tonneau Covers?

I’m hearing the factory cover is not so good. Can anyone confirm and if so what is wrong with it? I ordered it with the factory cover and just called the dealer to see if they can drop that off the order. What’s wrong with the quality?

I have ordered the factory cover too,,, :cautious:

Do you have the polycarbonate or aluminum one? How long have you had it? Any issues? Fading? I checked out the site and they look good.
I have the all aluminum one. It needs periodic adjustments but has held up well for 4 years. They’ve probably upgraded it some since I got mine.

Any chance someone could make a cover to work around the rambar option?
I have the Rambar sitting in my garage and also have a retrax XR pro tonneau cover sitting in my garage waiting to be installed in my TRX that should be here within the next two weeks. Will post photos and videos and let everyone know if they both fit together or not

I've read through all these threads and appreciate all of the great info. I currently have the Bakflip MX4 on my Raptor and all in all it's been great. Prior to that I had retractable in longer bed trucks, but like many here didn't want to lose space do to the canister. I'll probably do another MX4 is I do a Trifold, but the Lomax looks great as well. For retractable seems most are going with Retrax ProXR, but I don't need the rails and it's pricey. Does anyone have experience with Gator Recoil or have any insight on them? I like the fact it does not have a key. Thanks

So I tried to get leer 700 was told 5-7 weeks out, after waiting to get truck no way I’m taking the chance of waiting that long for cover.
I decided to go with a diamond back cover paid extra but was able to get shipped in 3 days

PowertraxPRO MX was installed yesterday. I really like it. It does eat up a little more space than my trifold did on my last truck but you won’t block your vision with this one. I don’t haul anything unless my wife thinks we need to give one of the kids my stuff so she can buy new stuff. 😳so maybe this keeps her from giving away my bigger things! 🤞

PowertraxPRO MX gets installed Monday
I really like the trap pro lineup but hate how much room they take up. It takes up 13 inches of the 5 foot bed. Wish there was a version just like it that did not take up so much of the bed.

I’m going to go Pace Edward’s ultragroove over the retrax simply due to the latch mechanism being inside the cover. Then I only lock the tailgate (versus another key to keep on hand to lock it). Then if I forget if I locked it or not, I don’t have to go out to the truck to lock it either.

Anyone have experience with them? Best I can tell review-wise, they are a good cover but maybe not quite as nice as retrax. Just has that feature I like.

Im interested in that one too, probably have to get rid of rambar... where did you get it and how much did it cost? Are these hard to self install?

I personally had the pace Edwards ultra groove metal on my ram 3500 for five years and it has been awesome! Chose it for the same reasons you did regarding the locking mechanism, no regrets at all. I also like the strap and retractable canister, very simple to operate. Looking forward to seeing pictures.

For my TRX I bought the retrax Pro XR, mainly because I wanted to try something different, more Yakima certified T-slot accessories (HD Towers), and it has a lifetime warranty.
