Tazer DT

Just to clarify, the Tazer does not plug into the SGW module, the two connectors are removed from the module and then plugged into the Tazer.

Boosted is right. Don’t plug it into the module. The sensors plug into the Taser.

Can someone describe or take a video of the brake hold feature that was just added in the latest firmware? I think I inadvertently ran into it twice yesterday, but it was pretty alarming and want to confirm.

Which one red or blue?
Neither. The connectors you need to find have way fewer wires running to them.

Find the OBDII connector, then look about 5” to the left and straight up, further away from the firewall from where you are looking.

How does the camera on at any speed work. Any issues?
On my 22 it will come up and works great, but then won’t go away until the uconnect5 is rebooted.

Have you tried clicking the "X" at the top right or the "home" button at the top left of the screen?

Yes. I get a big black box on the bottom (seems to think it’s split screen), no buttons on the bottom, and the x doesn’t work. This is one of the features I really wanted and it is pretty unusable.

The bigger sucky part is the brake issue. I think that relates to the brake hold feature they added in the latest firmware. I removed the tazer from the truck just to make sure it was actually associated with the tazer. It is, so now I have figure out my next step.

I'm still trying to figure out what issue you are having with the brake hold feature. Can you give more details?

The truck will be in drive. All of a sudden the brake and abs lights will illuminate/blink.

If I’ve just shifted into drive from park, the brake pedal go all the way to the floor (almost like you lost all the fluid instantly). The truck doesn’t move, but after totally releasing the brake pedal the lights go out and it behaves normally.

If I’m in traffic, stopped, the brake and abs lights will come on. I don’t lose pedal pressure. Once I release the pedal they seem to go away.

It only seems to happen when I’m stopped and in looking at their description of brake hold (just added in the last firmware, it sounds associated). There are no manual entries for it, but they do have entries for other models for brake hold. Either way, it is scary as shit to lose normal brake functionality when shifting into park or driving in traffic. And hopefully it wouldn’t happen when you were actually stopping in stop/go traffic. This happened three times when shifting, once when driving in traffic.

Holy crap! Ok, I got a call in for this one. I'll get back to you as soon as I know more.

For what it worth, I tried full reboots and it didn’t change anything. The description of brake hold from the JL manual https://www.zautomotive.com/zpu/instructions/TazerJLMiniUserGuide1127.pdf
is as follows:
• Brake Hold (excl. 4XE): enable/disable the brake hold feature, which will automatically hold your brakes after pressing brake firmly for 2 seconds
under these circumstances:
• not in a menu
• at a full stop
• your seatbelt is on • in drive

And on the following forum link, they mention those two lights will come on when brake hold is activated https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/issues-with-tazer-mini-on-gladiator.75279/
