S&B Cold Air Intake Ram TRX

Yea my fitment is not nearly as tight as yours so ive got no concern regarding a larger hood intake gap.
Just finally got back in town from work. Figured I’d take some shots from behind for peeps to compare. I think it’s about as factory looking as I can get it.

K&N Speed Factory should have them, that's where I purchased mine. If you have Facebook contact Nick Merone.

They have a discount code for us: RAMTRXGROUP

Coupon doesn't work.

Thanks for the info. I reached out to S&B last night. Just received the attached email. Stand up company.
. . .thanks for posting. Because of your post, I did the same and literally within an hour., I got the exact same confirmation order.

Service like this is a rarity these days.

Just got mine in as well, after 2 trips to the hardware store! Using the supplied washers (at least on my install) caused the bolts to dig too much into the plastic and it was worried it would pull through completely over time. I ended up using giant, thick fender washers (1.5") and longer bolts to secure the S&B to the stock mounting bracket. Looks ridiculous, but I'm confident it's not going to shear through eventually.

I know a few of you have encountered this as well but just wanted to put it up there again for someone doing the install in the future.

My intake arrived Thursday, was out of town and just got back. Will be installing it when I get some time in the next few days. Does anyone know where I could get an oiled filter, that has them in stock? I wanted the oiled filter but they only had the dry in stock

Ugh I keep seeing intake threads and they are gonna make me buy one I bet. I have to decide on which one at this point. AFE or S&B…🧐
I have the S&B and the only reason is because of my personal taste for the design. I like one larger filter displayed however I must agree the aFe has better components and looks very cool too.
I highly doubt there's any difference to performance between the two so pick whatever you can get your hands on these days.
CAI is a must IMO

I’m in the same situation. I like AFE because you can keep the Trex shroud.

. . .S&B - you get 33% more airflow than stock with it + it pulls in outside air, not air from the engine compartment that is generally a lot more warmer than the outside air. Cold air = denser air = more 02 = more power.

got mine installed a couple of weeks ago by SolisRacingGroup and love it! How did you guys get your stock TRX shroud to fit? would love to be able to keep that on as well

How does the S&B fit and align with the hood gaskets etc? I think I read someone was having issues with water/dirt getting under the hood because it doesn't seal as good as the stock setup...

. . .no issues for me, I've have notice some dust on the clear cover, but figured it was from external (outside of the closed intake system) due to not having the protective cover on.
