What did you do to your TRX today?

We've had a few people ask about them. I have a set of front hooks in the shop to use. How far would say they need to be "cut back" to look good. Also, do you think more of a D ring style would look cleaner?
After thinking about it briefly, If I could fabricate something I would make a bracket for D rings. Something that mounts to the oem location that was as unnoticeable as possible. I would keep the D rings in the truck and only mount them when needed.

I would guess some other owners with aftermarket bumpers would be interested too. Not just ADD.

For aggressive styling purposes the OEM tow hooks are very big. Too big to try to just shorten.

How did you do this ? Thanks
Get this and a Ram harness:

Before it comes, get these so you can power it in the house to set it up and update it periodically (needs 12v to operate over USB-C):

when you get the unit, plug it in to the adapters above, connect it to your wifi and type in:
release-c3.sunnypilot.ai

Wait for the driving model to download.

in the meantime, affix the mount to your truck. There is a nice RAM mounting base you can find or have printed somewhere that makes this easy. I can't attach them here, but DM me your email and I'll send them to you. I have the FitCam dashcam so I had to come up with a custom solution.

Follow the Comma installation instructions. Takes maybe 20 minutes to install once the mount is done. If you use the adhesive mounts, let them cure for 48 hours before installing the comma to them, keeps them from coming off later.

And that's it! I know this was a long post but it's really a step by step process, nothing too out there.

Took advantage of warmer weather which meant warm in the garage and cleaned the inside of the truck. Windows were filthy and while I was at it I put conditioner on the leather

Finally had nice enough weather to wash and detail the truck and then install my ADD rack.
Also a huge shout out to @Nick797 for the great deal on the rack. I picked up from the dent / ding pile they had. Added a couple coats of spray paint to hide the scratch on top and boom it’s good as new.

Finally got around to changing my S&B cover to this, big thanks to @BigRay for providing a quality product!

Had to take it out for a spin without the cover to hear the S/C whine that’s louder then usual, in the best way possible of course.

Installed ADD Cab Bulkhead Mole Panels, mounted Rhino Traction Boards and Rotopax 3 ga x 2. @Nick797 was super chill to deal with, very quick communication and help with questions. Superior customer service!

Nice! I'm thinking of getting the two outer ones to mount my boards too which are currently loose in their bag. Looks like they'd integrate OK with my current Built Right Industries system. What do you think? Thanks!

this looks like the most off-road ready rig that's never been off-road yet. it's okay man - dip your toe into the mud and have some fun!

Car washes help! Ha, Most of this gear was in my 2017 power wagon and 2007 Power Wagon and 2000 1500. They helped me off road, backpack and climb 80 of Colorados highest peaks. I've been in the mud and had lots of fun and plan to continue to, don't you worry!
