RFH Lock now available on TRX trucks

Had mine done a long time ago. I have ALL the faith in my dealer. Is there a way to confirm it was done without going to another dealer, to prove to you guys it can be done? Or that it didn't really get done?
Do you have a service report? You’d have to have both keys also at time of “service” to have given them as they lockout to each.

I doubt they did anything, there’s nothing to do. As far as I know the RFH on these is different than the charger/challenger so it won’t accept the same programming if a dealer tries to flash that over to the TRX, without even saying the PCM and etc is all different.

Only way to tell, is to try and get a key programmed. Part of the flash is a lockout and permanently blocks the RFH module from accepting any more keys, so that would be the tell.

Would be so funny to say "I have ALL the faith in my dealer" and end up getting finessed :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Would love for it to be legit tho

I'm waiting for this as well. I tried when I purchased my truck a few months back, but as others have said its not available for the TRX as of yet.
Has anyone confirmed there working on it and its just a matter of time?

For a truck that is close to its end why would they spend money on a fix for us. I wish they would but if I was in charge of the company I wouldn’t give a rats ass about spending man power and money to make a fix.

They recently released a fix for the Dodges, and that was after they announced that these cars were going away…

I have the printout of the work. Brought both keys and had two more programmed because they told me once they locked the hub I'd be stuck with just my two original keys.

Please post it for us so we can drive to the dealer demanding lockout

What is unacceptably frustrating to me is that “we” have to turn ourselves, as owners, inside out trying to find a solid answer to this whole RFH/ key issue. A dealership i went to recently had never heard of it, so they say. I showed them a TSB for a 22 Charger(?) and all i got was crickets. Then i was told it doesnt matter, if they want the vehicle they will take it. He said they are busting the headlight to access the buss now??? Im not even sure what that is so i got nothing! Ive called around and basically i have had very disappointing results. @RamCares please??? Get your service departments up to speed on this.

Here’s some discussion on the headlight thing. CAN injection is what it’s called.

That sounds promising. Can you post a copy of the work order?

Integrity and reputation would be my first thought.

Integrity and reputation does not seem to apply to the car industry. Seems it always takes some sort of owner pressure, aka a class action suit. Toyota frames, exploding Pinto gas tanks,,, so many examples.

I dont fault the dealership service departments ( some of them anyhow ) for the lack of RFH lock awareness/ understanding. They have to get guidance and correct information from the manufacturer and they have many different types of vehicles to deal with. Once i referenced a TSB ( for a Charger ) they seemed to take me more seriously but they had never heard of the RFH lock before and had never performed one in the past.
Regarding the TRX though, i got a pretty solid, multi sourced “ its not available for the TRX”!

Is the update out for our TRXs? If so what's the TSB#?

Thanks
