RFH Lock now available on TRX trucks

The rf hub lock only blocks the ability to hook to the can hub system and make a new fob, it does not block the relay/cloning of your fob signal and they can still start it and drive away. Ravelco will block the ability to start it even when the signal is cloned and igla will block all of them. Blocks new fobs from being made and they can’t start it even if you handed them the fob. There are several options for security, research them all and find the one (or a couple working together) that works best for you.
Thank you IGLA installer KY! Yes ive been researching. Seems there are many opinions and some people use a combination approach. It all seems crazy to me that this is something that the customer has to deal with to this degree. Like selling a vehicle with a known security vulnerability is acceptable somehow to Dodge/ Ram/ etc…
Toyota fobs have a locking feature that kills the fob signal. Push and hold the lock button the push the unlock button twice. The fob is now off. Shocking but true!

Yes, I think its because the person that gets it stolen will just go order/buy another one and the fca/stellantis profits go up. Then they can put out a bs security update that requires the changing of multiple modules in order to make a new fob. You’re absolutely right about the toyota/lexus fobs. We do it all the time on my wifes new platinum highlander. She has an IGLA anti theft in it but it doesn’t block the relaying and the ability to make new fobs, thats only mopar right now. It does have other neat features like comfort/vent though. I posted about the ability to turn the fob off on another post. That would have been something more beneficial to mopar than the bs rf hub locking.

I have heard some of the same things you have said here before. The Uconnect part but then others say the rfh module has nothing to do with Uconnect. Then there is RAM-CONNECT vs Uconnect. It absolutely blows my mind that the manufacture of these vehicles does so little, so slowly to correct this or at least make information available to help its customers. @DodgeCares

Welcome to corporate greed. America runs on it.

As long as they cant grab your fob signal because you block it by using a metal bag or turn the fob off (toyota) and lock the rfh module you are good to go, at least for those two things. Right?

That will help but they can still get it. You need to take the fob out of the bag to start your vehicle so they can still get the signal, at a light, driving next to you ect and come back later and take it. The rf lock only blocks the making of new fobs, nothing else.

Chicago is probably the vehicle theft capital of the world. This is for the first 2 weeks in November…🤦‍♂️

What did you expect with Mayor BeetleJuice in charge? Chicago city is role model for corruption that other cities like Houston are following as the template.

Yeah, the whole current system is corrupt from the lowest levels all the way to the top

Thank you for the clarification! Seems almost impossible to believe that they have TFH lock for challengers and chargers and nothing for the TRX, i believe you though. Trunk monkey is perfect solution. Jeeez Dodge, come’on man!

I had this update done months ago. I have no way to test it out but I MORE THAN trust my dealer.

The only way to test it is to take it to the dealer or a local locksmith and have them try to make a new fob. Thats the only thing it blocks besides all over the air updates.

So odd, im getting mixed opinions on updates being blocked. Some say no because the RFHM is just that, for radio frequency not anything that would involve updates or U/ Ram connect.

I have had a few with it done on their hellcats say they can’t update the systems overair. There are videos online stating the same thing. I honestly think it’s pointless and causes more problems than it does good. The issue is relaying the fob, cloning it and then stealing the vehicle. The equipment is cheaper and easier to do than getting an expensive scanner, bypass ect and then take stuff apart to get to one of the gateways and to the sgw to bypass it. There are numerous videos showing the relay and cloning of the fob signal and then starting it and driving off in about 15-30 seconds. They aren’t stupid, thats why it keeps happening and the arrest rate is something like 2.5% or worse.

If you don’t want to listen to the first part you can start at 2:15
