Thank you IGLA installer KY! Yes ive been researching. Seems there are many opinions and some people use a combination approach. It all seems crazy to me that this is something that the customer has to deal with to this degree. Like selling a vehicle with a known security vulnerability is acceptable somehow to Dodge/ Ram/ etc…The rf hub lock only blocks the ability to hook to the can hub system and make a new fob, it does not block the relay/cloning of your fob signal and they can still start it and drive away. Ravelco will block the ability to start it even when the signal is cloned and igla will block all of them. Blocks new fobs from being made and they can’t start it even if you handed them the fob. There are several options for security, research them all and find the one (or a couple working together) that works best for you.
Toyota fobs have a locking feature that kills the fob signal. Push and hold the lock button the push the unlock button twice. The fob is now off. Shocking but true!
