Ram TRX Supercharger Spacers

No feedback as far as performance or anything like that. Currently waiting on my tuner to send me a start-up tune.

Install was easy, getting the blower back in with the spacers was easier than taking the blower out without the spacers. Unfortunately, the combination of the spacers and the Kong 108mm TB means my K&N intake doesn't fit, so I'm currently fabbing up a custom intake. I likely would have been fine with just the spacers, but the Kong TB is longer than the OEM in addition to being a larger diameter, so it really throws everything off.
Thanks for all the replies. That is my next project but I've been going back and forth with installing myself or having a shop do it. A lot of guys here have said the blower was a bitch to remove. Much harder on the TRX than hellcats. Any tips regarding removal?

Removing it is the same process just that it’s higher up making it more difficult, this is a good video for reference how it is done

I'd suggest taking the front wheels off and dropping the truck down as far as you can, then get a stepladder lol. You'll want the leverage.

The worst part is getting all the connectors at the rear, we actually missed one and ended up shearing the wires on my truck. NBD, just crimped in a new set of leads, but you have to be very careful.

You may also run into the blower being stuck to the motor somewhat. I had to use a small pry bar to get mine loose in the passenger rear.

It's 100% doable with a couple of buddies though. I'd recommend three people minimum.

I just did a set of these on my redeye challenger and my son's hc challenger. I honestly don't see how the supercharger doesn't leak boost like crazy. There are no bottom row of bolts on the intake ports. They are relying on the rigidity of the supercharger to be bolted down just by the upper row of bolts. It's like how the hell is this working? The spacers do work. We both saw a slight increase in boost psi after the installs on our cars. I'm going to do my hc Durango and trx next

Very nice glad we could be of service to you :)

Re-packed verified by DHL. Comments edited. Why would DHL need to open and repack ? Never seen this before. Spacers verified true although have nicks on all four corners should not affect sealing and performance. I was hot for a minute. I should have been yelling at DHL.

just got my spacers from FI. Look at that packing. Good job guys. Well done. Wrapped from Australia in paper sack. All four corners exposed. Supposed to pull my supercharger in the morning and put some nicked up 1” metal spacers on my 100k truck. Yall got to do better than this on packing. Should be ashamed to send this shit out.
I’m very sorry for your experience, however we do not send them out like that, the package shows DHL tape on it, meaning the spacers have been removed by US Customs and repacked by US Customs.

The spacers are extremely strong and should not be worn in any way that makes them unusable, you can see on the link below how our material as used on all of our spacers can withstand a lot of abuse https://fiinterchillers.com/tech_articles/lsa-lid-spacer-strength-test/

In saying that if there are any issues at all please email the office and we will get it taken care of.

Just did mine on the TRX. Went well. Took my time. That supercharger is heavy AF so y’all know. 😆 Will post some after temps next day or two.
I am serious about doing this, would really appreciate your thoughts on it after you have driven it a bit - thanks

I will get you some data. PM me and I’ll send my number we can chat before you do it. It’s not hard but there are some critical steps when removing and installing. Mostly you can move the SC fwd a couple inches and get to the rear IAT sensor plug and then when going back in, one of the spacers is held on by dowels in the SC and the other does not have dowels so you need to capture that spacer to the SC before install.

Nice tips, thanks. I'm ordering mine. This is on the top of my list.

They may have included fasteners to capture the spacers to the SC. As DHL unpacked mine for random customs check. And repacked them. It didn’t cause any problems to the spacers. I did ask the company about fasteners today, they are quick to respond to this thread so I imagine we will know soon if they are supposed to come with said fasteners.

Typically the spacers are placed on to the cylinder heads and then the blower onto the spacers, if you guys want to you can use M8x25 bolts x4 to hold the spacers on, 2 bolts per side. On our 10mm spacers we use plastic push pins to hold the spacers in place however we are unable to get push pins long enough for the 1" spacers off the shelf.

I certainly appreciate the feedback, and will see if we can get custom plastic push pins made to suit.

The one side stayed on for me by friction on the dowel pins located on the SC. For the other side I did just that, I bolted them to the SC. I used locktite on those two bolts too. Don’t want them backing out and rattling on the head. Overall the spacers are great. The truck feels smoother. My intake temps normally run +40-44 over ambient normal driving. I ran +26 most of the day today. I did a 3 gear rip at my normal testing spot and today was 82F ambient and my previous tests were done at 70-73F ambient. I saw +58 over ambient at the end and last week I saw +67 over ambient on same pull with cooler weather. These are full go if you are on the fence. If you have access to a cherry picker it would make this job easy. I did not think about using one until I was all in it yesterday.

Thanks for the review and feedback, really glad you are enjoying them, they certainly do make it run much colder.

I just used a 4" stripe of duct tape to hold the spacers to the blower when installing, along with the couple of bolts in the back that have to be put in before installing the blower. Worked great and I stripped the tape off later.

Forgot to show that using small binder clips to hold the bolts up so they aren’t sticking through the spacers is an easy way to hold up the rear 3 bolts on each side which must be inserted prior to landing the SC in place.(stock bolt shown, cause I just went out in garage to mock up a pic)
