Ram TRX Supercharger Spacers

Are you not going with a interchiller as well?
I’m sorry I missed this. My apologies. Nope, not doing an interchiller. I see the benefits but due to issues with needing a tune and other upgrades to avoid rough starts in Texas climate, I decided against it.

I’m happy with a mostly stock TRX for now. Maybe in a couple years I’ll think about some real power upgrades but other than for bragging rights, I’m not really going to realistically use another couple hundred HP. Right now I’m just focused on longevity and keeping her running as long as possible.

I drove about an hour in 100+ degree heat today with it. Most of it highway miles and a couple full throttle pulls. Never saw the intercooler coolant climb hotter than 11 degrees over ambient. Most of the time it was 8-9 degrees over ambient. I’m pretty happy with the performance.

The extra coolant in the reservoir combined with the supercharger spacers really works well!

That is awesome, today would have been a nice day to put that setup to the test. Did you also have a Cai installed? I just have to wait to get mine in and hopefully ill have everything installed soon and ready for boost weather! Im guessing a thermostat and tune would set this to the next level.

Negative. No CAI. Stock airbox.

Nice! I also i keep meaning to ask ( sorry for the excessive questions too, and appreciate all your responses) do you drive in auto or sport mode around town sir?

Sport mode is better for cooling but yesterday was not in sport. Just auto.

I can’t speak to the pump. The extra tank is a great idea of course. Between the FI version and the Cordes version, I went with the Cordes version because it looks like a quality product and is already powder coated. Fit and finish are excellent. Can’t go wrong with either, though.

You gonna install this yourself or do you have a performance shop in mind to install. I’m down here in SE Flo as well.

Going to have American Muscle Performance in Pompano do it. Unfortunately i don't have enough time with work, kids, sports etc. They did the install and tuning with Curt and think they did a great job.

I did ask them last time i brought it there for a oil change and they said i wouldn't waste time with the spacers your not drag racing haha. I know i am not, but the heat soak sucks down here and won't hurt at all.

Sorry for bothering you over and over again, hows everything been working out for you now sir? Im dropping my truck off on Friday. Super pumped ( no pun intended)!

No bother. I don’t drive the TRX much but I’ve put a couple hundred miles on it since pickup and zero issues.

Our 1” spacers have been proven to work with just about every aftermarket intake on the market without any fitment issues at all

Factory intake as well of course.

Ive love having the 1 inch spacers added to my TRX, i can for sure see them working and keeping my truck cool. I just opted to also have the interchiller installed from Forced Induction, mostly because everything Kirk has said, has been spot on and might as well get it done before next summer . Cant wait to test it out soon.

For those looking to buy the Kong 2650 supercharger you will require studs.
the 1" Spacers will need the following studs ARP 400-8025 M8 x 1.25 x 57mm

I can confirm that the ARP 400-8025 stud kit does NOT work with the 1" spacers and Kong 2650; only the .5" spacers will work. There are two main issues.
  1. The studs are not threaded the entire length that is advertised. It is also the longest stud kit they offer in that thread pitch.

  2. The underside of the firewall cowl cover would interfere with the top of the blower lid. With the .5" spacers, I have about a .125" clearance.

Very strange as we have had several guys use these ARP studs with the 1" without these issues.
Maybe they are using them with less thread engagement and/or without the washers.

Given that the blower is not under a huge amount of pressure (unlikely to lift off) and that you have 10 bolts holding it down, having less thread engagement is very unlikely to be an issue.
