Ram TRX lean *Star Bulletin Update*

Interesting, thx for letting me know. Let me see if I can find the part numbers they ordered and installed.

There should be white part number tag on the actual springs if you wanted to crawl under and look, all 4 springs should have a different number on them now.

My dealer told me the only star bulletin they see for my truck is the 6.2L supercharged badges on the hood.

The lady had hella attitude when I asked her about the lean issue and I even told her I had a star bulletin number.

Luckily I think my truck is pretty even, when the tank is full is the only time I can tell if it's leaning. I've seen some newer F150's that the lean is way more noticeable.

Shoot, my dealer told me about the TSB before I even enquired. He also mention Chrysler pays them more to do the TSB than they could make from customer or warranty. So a dealer playing dumb just doesn't make sense. Didn't notice my truck had a lean to the left until he pointed it out to me. There is a suspension kit he had to order. Re-engineered shocks, springs, and coils replaced on left side. Took a couple weeks for parts to come in and a day to replace and align. All good. New trucks coming off the line should already have the new suspension.

Took my TRX to the dealer yesterday, lean on drive side. they said was within spec. I measure 1" lean to the left (rear) Dealer wont fix. How do I approach is?

Front springs have new part number, driver side rear spring has old part number based on star bulletin.

Mines the same. The way I am I just live with it. Odds are they’ll screw something up worse than when you brought it in.

Update, called back service center asked for service manager.

Me: “How many people with 100k trucks come ready with Star bulletins and part numbers to help get the job done?”

SM: “Nobody, I’ll order the parts on Monday. I’ll call you they come in.”

Hopefully they don’t muck up more things doing the job.

Well done and glad it's in motion for you. I was told it was based on VIN but then heard that the dealer had to do measurements to confirm or deny...bunch of bullshit. My dealer ordered my new springs sight unseen. I felt lucky.

Went in day before mechanic said within spec. I told them 1” lean is only in spec for Tesla not ram.

Same boat lol. Not sure if mine has the issue. Even if it does, I’m pretty much used to the way it looks. Not interested in sending it to dealership and have it back with an O’Reilly filter somewhere in the engine.

So nearly 4 months since fixed and swear it's leaning to the left again... Gonna have to name the truck Biden....
Hey there, GherkinJerkin,

We'd like to hear more about this and look into it for you. Would you mind reaching out to us via direct messaging?

Finally got mine fixed and with 1/2 tank it leans the other way now. I'm just accepting it...

So I have been getting the service active dampener system message on my dash randomly and just recently noticed my truck has a big lean in the rear. Finally used alpha OBD to read the codes and it's throwing a C1526 - Left Rear Ride Height Sensor Signal Plausibility failure. I check things with a tape measure and my left rear is a whole 3" lower than the right rear (with a full tank of gas). If I look at the sensor, the bar on the passenger side is parallel to the ground while the driver side is nearly 30*+ so no wonder it is throwing a range error. Meanwhile the front is within an 1/8" side to side and totally fine.

I checked the bulletin and I have the 783 and 782 springs left/right rear, and 794/793 fronts. I'm curious of those who did the TSB, is it only 1 step softer side to side, or in some cases are they going two steps softer? It seems like with what is posted here mine doesn't mean the requirements because it is already running two different springs but 3" and throwing codes is clearly an issue.

Parts for the lean have finally came in. Now waiting on rental car to have them installed.
