Planning to install the new driveshaft tomorrow. Anyone happen to know the torque spec for the bolts that connect to the tranny and diff?

I just used the old "It felt about this tight when I loosened it up" method. I'm sure it'll be fine...

When I broke the bolts off, they felt strangely loose. I guess I'll use good ole Loctite.

I just used the old "It felt about this tight when I loosened it up" method. I'm sure it'll be fine...

Tried that method yesterday with my motorcycle battery and cracked the terminal. Not recommended.

Under Driveshaft, it says, "Do not reuse these fasteners..."

It's probably because the bolts have blue Loctite on them and they assume we are too stupid to put on our own.

Installed (44,700 miles). Eight bolts and it drops out. I ended up sending out the DS to swap flange yesterday, and I'm picked it up this afternoon. I'm glad I did because apparently my DS shop said it was out of balance after swapping the flanges. I'm letting the blue Loctite cure overnight, and I'll test drive it tomorrow. I'll report back after that.

I took the truck for a good drive, about 120-mile trip, and the truck is solid. It definitely took the clunk away (we'll see long term), but the truck feels "tighter" if that makes sense.

We could! He mentioned doing a front one as well.

My front driveshaft seal just took a dump. Will be replacing this one under warranty, but powertrain is running out soon, so would likely be interested in this one!

Looks like UPS has misplaced mine...
Shows they received it on 6/12 and the only ETA is "we'll update when we have more information."

100% my fault, I copy pasted each tracking number in there my self..but sometimes i guess the "copy" part didn't work on my phone, while i was out to dinner because I know everyone wants their tracking numbers ASAP and If i can get them out as soon as i get them i will.

I thought about putting them on a scale to compare, but forgot. Going by feel, I'd say the new shaft is a couple of pounds heavier (maybe 5 lbs?)
