DEAL Ram TRX Driveshaft Group Buy! East Coast Driveline (CLOSED)

Installed the driveshaft today, took 1.5hrs 2 people 5/8 ratchet wrench for the bolts, 7/8 socket for the ball joint tool and blue loctite. I can definitely tell the difference in just shifting from P to D

Gotta keep an eye on this. Figures I learn about this AFTER I bought my TRX. So I will be on the lookout for this if it happens again! Very interested.

Installed (44,700 miles). Eight bolts and it drops out. I ended up sending out the DS to swap flange yesterday, and I'm picked it up this afternoon. I'm glad I did because apparently my DS shop said it was out of balance after swapping the flanges. I'm letting the blue Loctite cure overnight, and I'll test drive it tomorrow. I'll report back after that.
I drove just 4,676 miles on the new driveshaft and recently started feeling a slight clunk. Curious if anyone else has experienced the same. If so, what's the fix?

Edit: I took some photos, and it appears that grease has leaked from the flange and been flung outward.

Damn, I’ve had zero time to install mine still. Need more data points but making me second guess now… I wonder what manufacture says about this?

I contacted @Nick797, and he’s planning to speak with Pat, who makes the shaft, still waiting to hear back. But I’ve already ordered the band clamps and the tool. I’m currently deciding between Loctite 8012 and TS-60, both are a bit pricey for the amount you get, but I want to choose the best option for the job. Both have 60% of moly and according to the google box, moly is good for splines. 🤷‍♂️

I have a little over 4k miles on the driveshaft and just 375 miles of towing my camper and absolutely no issues whatsoever. Solid as can be and I have totally forgotten about the clunk.
