The answer I got from Uconnect software dept was that the download hasn't completed. It takes time to fully load...I SAID NO, ITS THE GOT A PIC OF THE WRONG TRUCK...ITS WRONG... She said well that's what my tech department says

This is a huge fucking mess and they just fucked over who might have purchased there new TRX. If they brick the older one why would anyone get the new one.

Can you say quality control? Or lack of.... I worked in IT for 40 years, if I had this type of quality control, my career would have been more like 4 years. (At best)

Mine hasn't updated and I'm not even sure a star case is a thing any more. But escalate it and threaten legal action like I did a few times. Don't go to Uconnect. Go to the top. Uconnect will blame ram

So who is the top? I talked to Ram customer service, ram cares, Uconnect, connected services. The ONLY answer I could get was it's not done loading. I said WRONG. I've been an auto tech for 40 years. I know the field real well. I do programming. I know what's up. My hands are tied though. Can't revert it back. I really don't know who to contact.

Mine just updated today and it's broken some things. Of course, it does the update right on the middle of a road trip, again. Never when I'm in town or it's parked at home. LOL. First world problems, but that's the one thing I seem to dislike, it ALWAYS updates in the middle of a road trip and I'm not sitting at a gas station or rest stop for 15 minutes when I have to be somewhere at a set time.

Yeah I reset my UConnect like FIVE times and it keeps reverting back to the Hurricane. What kind of incompetence is this?

The new refresh did absolutely nothing positive for us. It only made our screens and features much worse. Very disappointing to say the least.

This software simply can’t distinguish between TRX and RHO, they read the same as far as the radio module is concerned. They would have to release a new version on a higher number designed just for pre-refresh trucks as they should have done in the first place. Actually they should have just done nothing at all. That was the cheapest and best option.

What you're describing sounds pretty scary, in terms of the sheer lack of thoughtfulness and what it implies for what is being done to our vehicles now and what could be done in the future.

They run like government, wasting money and creating bad outcomes.

Yeah, this whole thing never made any sense. The same software version they pushed out to everyone here recently was originally for JL/JTs, and there was a TSB to replace it on those trucks for various issues. Why it appeared on DTs after all that made zero sense to me. Even if the glitches in the TSB don’t cross over to our trucks the whole thing seems very random and possibly accidental.

But what do I know, I’m just a dude who plays with these in my garage and discovered months ago that 2024MY software shouldn't be used because it shows an RHO instead of a TRX.

This is exactly why I have not taken my truck in to a dealership for any recall requests. RAM and its dealers cannot be trusted.

I still haven't had the dealer do the traction control recall. Even if they tried without asking me they would fail because I have igla.

There is a reason why I told people not to do that recall. They are now installing RHO software over the air.
