New screen with update?

I still haven't had the dealer do the traction control recall. Even if they tried without asking me they would fail because I have igla.

There is a reason why I told people not to do that recall. They are now installing RHO software over the air.

All DEI woke people doing this

So quick update, my infotainment system was locking/freezing with horrible buzz sound once a day and when I turned off the truck, the infotainment system would keep playing music, etc. Ugh. Did a factory reset today, all data, settings, everything gone. Now, issues have cleared up, system turns off when I turn the truck off. Had to re-do all settings, radio pre-sets, etc, but worth it.

I did that too, 5 times, but it came back.

Need to delete the whole telematics box. But it’s not a bad job. Not only does it stop them from ruining your Uconnect, but also from selling your data. @AmosMoses did it on his. (More people should do this mod so I can stop tagging you)
I did it as well, it took about 1.5hrs and now they can't received any info on my truck. I got performance and off road pages and no silly marketplace bullshit.

This software simply can’t distinguish between TRX and RHO, they read the same as far as the radio module is concerned. They would have to release a new version on a higher number designed just for pre-refresh trucks as they should have done in the first place. Actually they should have just done nothing at all. That was the cheapest and best option.
Exactly, what did this new version really had to fix?

For what I've read so far this update you guys got is only for 2025+, everyone 2022-2024 @ 5th gen Ram seems to be getting an update to 29.44 from 27.49. No one noticed any difference in performance except they are missing some gauges in the off road pages. I guess removing my telematics box module is paying off since I still on 27.49 and they can't push/force any updates on mine.

I knew wrapping my truck in aluminum foil wouldn't work LOL

And it's got a picture of a turbo now on the boost gauge and goes to 30 lb

Since the new update, my screen with gauges keeps freezing up. Sometimes one restart clears it, sometimes it takes several restarts.

Tim Kuniskis needs to kick some ass!

Join the crowd.

It shows the Inline 6 in the image on the performance pages now also. LOL

There are two threads going on regarding this piece of shit update.

And the gauges are super slow and three of the gauges on the second page come and go and on the propulsion screen it only goes to 600 horsepower it used to go to a thousand

It makes me feel special lol.

It was an hour job and there is really only one bolt that took 15 minutes in itself. Everything else was fairly straight forward.

Instructions attached. Also, get this cable as a pass through for the gps.

There is a post on 5thgen forums on what you need to disable with alfaOBD to not get errors, not sure if I can post that here. But @Jimmy07 is the man for that.

@AmosMoses @OnTheReel

I just want to make sure I am correct in all this, and I am sure this may help others. I am thinking of doing this since I have not had this update yet.

What is needed: I purchase the cable from Amazon and I use AlfaOBD to make some changes, that is all I need? I saw something about WiTech in the PDF but I am guessing because we are removing we do not need, or this is what AlfaOBD is for.

This will not have any issues on if the very unlikely chance I need to go to the dealer for something and they plug in, this telematics is just something completely different?

Last question, most instructions with electrical say to disconnect battery and I understand the safety side and doing at my own risk but is this really needed to make the removal work?

I wouldn't even bother now because they pulled the update so yours won't update anyway
