Knock on wood, I’ve never had that issue. But I also keep my vehicles as clean as possible. I waited for it to warm up to 15F today then washed the truck.After moving here I quickly learned that vehicles driven in snow, and especially on salted roads, should not go back into the garage.
Partially because of the resulting mess, but mostly to be nice to the vehicles. The freezing/thawing cycles helps rust develop, it's better to leave them frozen. Plus, any subsequent snowfall cleans them off.
