If the housing is bowed it is likely overtorqued, back the bolts out a half turn and it should go back to the correct contour.
Mine is bowing more and more as it sits in the sun. I’m pretty sure it’s not overtightened as much as the plastic is too soft. For those installing, I would put a lot more pressure to put it as far back against the grill as possible. I thought I had and even had roughly 1/3 inch from the lip to the edge but as it sits under the sun the lip of the housing is now bowed past the edge of the bumper platform.

Do you have a picture of the bumper and light as it is now? I have not installed mine and frankly am kind of on the fence between ordering the M&R Behind the bumper light bar and installing it instead. The alignmant issues along with the gap issues and now bowing, has me spooked.

I'll be honest, I kind of wish I had passed on the Oracle light. My light bar got condensation in it (according to Oracle this is normal, and there's a valve you can open in the back), and eventually a couple of the lights inside the bar died. Instead of fighting with a warranty claim I had a Vision-X light bar put into the Oracle housing and put on the truck. It looks good, but I'd rather have something behind the grill and not two extra holes in my front bumper.

Looks like yours has the same curvature as mine. Not quite exactly the curvature of the bumper, so it protrudes just a hair in the middle.
I’ve been thinking of dismounting mine, and figuring out a way to suck the middle in by 1/8-1/4” or so. It would probably involve gluing (or plastic-welding) a strut from the bottom middle (front to rear) to keep it pulled in.

Yeah I thought about re-engineering it but it would probably be more time than just getting a behind the grill lights. I don’t mind the curvature but the fact the gap gets larger and the top also bows up in the heat drives me batty. When it’s cool out, it looks nice.

I also wish I had passed on the Oracle light and didn’t have the holes in the bumper. I have had mine on for 30 days, it was purchased and installed by a Oracle dealer. The frame cracked and Oracle claims it is from road debris. So unlikely given it is summer - and the crack is on the side. But they won’t warranty it - which is similar to what others have experienced. I would recommend another brand.

Hello,
I just purchased my TRX in Texas.
After being out working on the land prepping for a house I quickly got tired of the stock lighting while working after dark.
I picked up a couple of RIDGID lights and a middle of the road light bar. After the mounting I realized Id like a bit sleeker light.
I'm currently looking at using the voids in the "RAM" in the grille. I assume all of the RAM trucks have the same "RAM" on the front grille. I've sourced a junk Ebay grille so I can get a cad file together and use my CNC to get a working prototype working. I figure with the shapes I can incorporate flood and spot in the logo's area. Then run a smoked lens to lessen the "bling" appearance. This will ensure the least impact on the air flow and put the projection close enough to where it should be.
Once I get all this done I can order boards and reflectors made to fit. I'm not trying to start up any business idea here just get more function for what most of us use any trucks for. I also like to hide my add ons a bit better than bolting them to the roll bar.
If anyone is also interested in this idea and might have info as to who can assist in this for us let me know.

1/2 of the air that goes into the engine goes through the grill. Instead of doing what you’re thinking, maybe reach out to @Boosted for his Fab Brawler behind the grill light kit. A lot of us are running the kit. I went with Rigid before he had the Baja Design kit ready.

Thread is getting a little off topic guys, appreciate the enthusiasm but lets try to stay on track here

So more testing and due diligence continued yesterday pulling a 5000+lbs load for over 2 hours (highway, backroads, with variable elevation) in near 100° heat index temperatures. Happy to report that the engine temps did not raise any higher than normal towing temps with the light bar installed. Also, as has already been mentioned, there is both a vertical and horizontal bar behind the grill in this space so it is unlikely there is any measurable amount of functional airflow being negatively redirected here. Lastly want to point out that if this was an airflow critical area RAM would not have designed the existing "hump" in the bumper there in the first place. If you are hyper sensitive about airflow maybe this is mod is not for you but our testing shows there is no negative impact to temps even under heavy towing.

This looks absolutely incredible. Can't wait to get my hands on one
