Hi all, is anyone else’s light bar housing coming apart? Just noticed this on mine on Sunday..it’s very flappy and you can very noticeably tell it’s coming apart..just curious. Mines not even a year old🫤

Unless I'm missing something, that's not coming apart. It's just expanding due to the heat, and will pull back in when it cools down. Mine does it too.

mine is the same way, the housing expands and flaps around when it’s baking in the sun all day.

Ahhh okay I see...well it looks like shit tbh :ROFLMAO: Makes me want to glue it together now

Yeah, I've considered taking it off and plastic-welding some struts in there to keep it pulled in. But I just haven't gotten around to it, honestly.

Oracle has an instructional video on how to minimize it. Let me see if I can find that link.

Well, I can't find it. @Oracle Lighting or @ORACLE or @ORACLE Jeff or @ORACLE Terry - do any of you know what I'm talking about? There was either a video or a short document that Oracle produced, showing how to take out some of the "sag" in the front lip of the bumper-mounted light bar. I believe it involved loosening the bolts and pushing in before tightening them back up.

Is there enough room in the housing to elongate/slot the mounting holes? They need some room to allow the housing to expand, which would prevent it from buckling like it's doing now when held down rigidly to the bumper.

Mine eventually cracked at the mount and needed to pay something like $50 for a replacement. I think all that expansion and contraction eventually caused it finally crack. So I decided to just paint the number bolts flat black to match the bumper and the light is sitting in a box somewhere. The light bar is pretty rusted only after a year.

I have so many questions about this post

Pressure can cause the front to bow outward when the plastic get's heated by the sun - The simple solution to this is to remove the light bar, trim out a small amount of strain relief in each bolt hole on the Light Bar Housing, re-install & allow the Light Bar to settle in it's natural position, then re-tighten the bolts. This will alleviate any pressure and prevent bowing of the plastic.

I just got one of these ... and the found this thread ... am I about to regret it?

With snow now on the ground... remember Yellow LEDs can be a great addition to your TRX this winter!
