I’ve used them before. Super handy, but if you apply too much pressure it has the power to cause the bedside to deflect, especially if you place it high in the bed.

Yeah I had two for my 2019 Ram Limited. They were awesome. As someone posted above you need to be careful as you can really put some stretching pressure on the bed...especially close to the front. I used it all winter to lock in my 2 stage snowblower. One in front and one in behind.....didn't move an inch.

Doesn’t work with the cover I bought
That one wouldn't work with my cover either so I ended up going with this set up. It folds down flat quite easily so you can use the whole bed without removing it if you need to. It's called Truck Bed Slide Stop. I just got it so will see how it works out.

I have been using them for the last few years in my trucks. If you are going to get the bar type then that is the only brand worth buying in my opinion. Very stout and does its job very well.

Trucker's call them load-locks. Practically every single enclosed semi-trailer you've ever seen on the road is running some variation of them for securing freight. They work great, as long as you find the sweet spot in between too loose to secure your cargo, and too tight resulting in bed damage. Only downside in my opinion, is they are bulky to store when not in use.

Yeah. I'd be worried about the damage they possibly could do if installed too tight.
