Dram of the Day

Celebrated going into D1 today by stopping by our local pub up here in Maine that has an awesome bourban list including pappy 10,12. Had a birthday bourbon with a pint of Maine brewery lunch. Sitting outside in 30 degree weather with the wife and our corgi. Nothing better.
Good to hear, hopefully you get it sooner than later. I’m also outside in 30 degree weather in Maine with my corgi playing frisbee. But still stuck in D status😠

A+ haul ... very cool.

How's the Smoke wagon Uncut/Unfiltered? I haven't tried it yet.

Btw, big fan of the Don Julio Real hiding in the background.
Super penisy bottle is a bonus. :)
My friend acted like the Smoke Wagon was something to appreciate but I wasn't sure if it's just hard to get or pricey. I haven't popped the cork yet but I'll keep you guys posted.

Don Julio Real is fantastic but I'd tell you Herradura Selection Suprema is my favorite tequila. See the bottle back by the paper towels? That's a tequila he threw in that he said I just HAVE to try. I usually don't sip on blancos but I'll give it a go.

He said the only stipulation was that I had to DRINK these bottles and appreciate them. Collecting for the sake of collecting is unacceptable. Okay, okay..... twist my arm!

Now going to taste the Weller against the Pappy and read up on wheated bourbons. Have a great evening gents.

You have a great Friend. There are many bourbons, tequilas, brews etc to love. One of my long time friends that I consider a brother lost his Mom, and another close friend. He said it best, I opened a bottle when Mom passed away, I opened another when Roger passed away, that won’t happen again I will share and enjoy while the ones I love and admire are still here...let that soak in. Pop the top and enjoy!

Hopefully you go to D1 soon, I stopped by the dealership yesterday on the way to king eiders to talk to Vinny, he gave me some conflicting information on what was in the bed utility group. Turns out they can take care of all of it at the dealership. That's when Randy came out and told me I was in D1. BTW Vinny is out next week so you might not hear anything..

Holy Moly I go out and paint the town red last night and all hell breaks loose... just kidding I was home.... all I could think about was a lyric by Jimi H

“I’ve come back to find the stars misplaced
and the smell of a world that has burned.”

Anyways I still have hope that eventually all these problems and issues will get worked out. I have to stay positive because if I’m lucky my truck should be built this week and I’ve waited to long now to give up. Cheers

Big American whiskey fan over here, so I thought I's start a thread just so folks can post what they're drinking at any given time.

My current daily rotation includes McKenna 10, Heaven Hill 7, Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel, and Wilderness Trail, and there's some stuff in the back for more special occasions. :)

You guys can get this rolling cause I'm on the back end of my dry January, so no drink for me till 12:00.01 Feb 1st.

It doesn't have to be bourbon or rye, for the purposes of this thread it can also be Scotch, or Japanese, or whatever other type of whiskey.

As always, pics or we don't believe you. :)
Hey Whisky guys, just like to say I prefer Scotch macallan 18. Is favorite.

Mopping up the Horizon with requisite pre-game beer chaser.

That is some good beer you got there too. Pick up a 6 pack whenever I can get it. It seems to show up random times at random liquor stores here. But always the same ones. Beer is one place where my home state shines. We’ve got more good beer than we know what to do with.

Pre gaming the pre game.... I like.... seems that you are enjoying the Hirsch, I haven’t had the pleasure yet. We are mixing up some Micheladas to quench the pre game jitters.. Enjoy the game. Cheers

Thanks, yeah we do well with bourbon in South Carolina but good beer is lacking. I'm not a huge beer drinker or know much about it, but Pliny is my favorite. I have to have a friend who lives in Sonoma ship me a case every year. Last year he send be a couple of six packs of Pliny the Younger and it was even better. He had to stand in line at Russian River for five hours to get it. Shit's like the pappy of beers apparently. :)

Scotch Whisky is how I got into this game. I, too, love the 18 year old and have some tucked away in the back of the closet so it's hard to find. I just got a new Macallan as a gift that looks interesting. It's a limited edition of the Rare Cask Black that seems to be out of their norm when it comes to a smoky character. I need a special occasion to open it so maybe this Wednesday if all goes as planned. :)

If you need an accountant I can introduce u to my guy Abe Rosenbloom.

Not a CPA per-se due to an apparent filing snafu over the last twenty years but he can sort things out for you.

His number changes a lot so he'll call u.
