Ha, I do need to point out at this juncture, that I am merely an alcoholic, not an expert.
In the past I did love the McKenna 10, Heaven Hill 7, and Wilderness Trail bourbons right off the bat, and like the Horizon they felt too good to stay readily available and priced where they were at release. But I also felt the same way about Piggyback and nothing changed with it.
This may happen with this bottle or it may not, other than prerequisite fundamental goodness the way this stuff plays out has actually more to do with how much inventory they have and are able to continue to have. Also that dynamic is very regional, over here in Charleston, liquor stores keep regular Eagle Rare at the back, mark it up, and only give it to special customers. When I'm in AZ I can find that stuff discounted by the case at the supermarket ... there's really no rhyme or reason to it.
