Dram of the Day

No I'm already feeling judged by $90k pickup truck peoples. 😞

What's next, pictures of my monocle and top hat collections?

In all seriousness I was hoping that this thread would be a place that we can all post what whiskey we are drinking at any time, not a me descending into the abyss of drunkeness commentary thread.
I have certainly enjoyed your posts on this thread and giving us a peek into something that interests you - and I don't judge you. :)

It actually IS more rare currently. There are a handful of TRXs and Blanton's is just waiting list after waiting list that hardly moves. You literally have to know somebody to get your hands on some.

I got a Balvenie 21 for Christmas that I haven't opened that I've got my sights on for the evening. It's been staring at me for a couple of weeks now and I can't take it anymore.

Now let's talk about that wine storage Soulsea.... You show me yours and I'll show you mine? I promise not to show someone else's this time. ;)

J
I'll bring someone a case of Blanton's if they can get my truck out of storage and the build finished this week!

Ha, I do need to point out at this juncture, that I am merely an alcoholic, not an expert. :)

In the past I did love the McKenna 10, Heaven Hill 7, and Wilderness Trail bourbons right off the bat, and like the Horizon they felt too good to stay readily available and priced where they were at release. But I also felt the same way about Piggyback and nothing changed with it.

This may happen with this bottle or it may not, other than prerequisite fundamental goodness the way this stuff plays out has actually more to do with how much inventory they have and are able to continue to have. Also that dynamic is very regional, over here in Charleston, liquor stores keep regular Eagle Rare at the back, mark it up, and only give it to special customers. When I'm in AZ I can find that stuff discounted by the case at the supermarket ... there's really no rhyme or reason to it.
In case your into Eagle Rare I Just saw an announcement for the Eagle Double Rare, not sure if it’s attainable with such low production volume.

with each passing day, and another view of TripleB's list, i have moved on to ALCOHOL

199 bottle release at $2000 a pop. If you're lucky enough to find one grab it, they started this release in 2019 and those bottles are selling for north of $13k. o_O

Now I am very curious as to the selection for tonights celebratory dram? And of course we all eagerly await your reflections on the new Beast... Cheers

I found this Bourbon at a hotel bar in Atlanta a few years back, quickly became one of my favorites. Toasted oak, vanilla, great long flavors... Havent seen it in a while, but if you do let me know... Hopefully I don't drink the whole thing by the time I get a build date :)

I'm a big fan. :)

A+ haul ... very cool.

How's the Smoke wagon Uncut/Unfiltered? I haven't tried it yet.

Btw, big fan of the Don Julio Real hiding in the background.
Super penisy bottle is a bonus. :)

Celebrated going into D1 today by stopping by our local pub up here in Maine that has an awesome bourban list including pappy 10,12. Had a birthday bourbon with a pint of Maine brewery lunch. Sitting outside in 30 degree weather with the wife and our corgi. Nothing better.

After reading about all of these issues with the Trx I am going to begin the tipple parade early today. Cheers
