Dram of the Day

That Weller Antique is a gem. The Heaven Hill didn't live up to the hype, IMO, but I know there are quite a few in their line up.

I was thinking about a wheated bourbon like your Weller there when I stumbled across this one. It burned my lips with the heat then I peed my pants and don't remember what happened afterward.

Yeah I really liked this one....Cheers.

Got to sample a trio of RedBreast Irish whiskey at a buddies! The 15 yo was the winner! Very smokey. They were all excellent though. Surprisingly mild bite from the cask strength at 112 proof.

That looks mighty tasty my friend!! Haha, it’s like a real cat fight...🍿🍿🍿

Good day today ... reloaded on some mezcal, got the fall 21 release of Old Fitz, and a couple of this year's Yellowstone 101 release.

Included in the pic is the Thomas S Moore cabernet cask bourbon released last year. It is one of a trilogy that also includes a chardonnay cask and a port cask. This cab cask pictured above is very good but not particularly noteworthy, certainly not something that I ever need to buy again. The chardonnay cask was barely tolerable to me ... one of my least favorite whiskeys ever. Not only was it underwhelming and bland but it was also buttery. When I say buttery I don't mean just in texture, I mean it tasted like dropped a stick of actual butter in it. I forced myself to finish it with great resentment. Hopefully the port cask will be the best of the three cause so far all I've experienced in bleh and meh with the first two. :)

Haha…. I love your dedication!!! Cheers.

I’m leaving on a rafting trip with my brother in the morning. Having a really hard time deciding which bourbon to bring. My go to Eagle Rare? Some hot Little Book? A rare barrell pick Blantons? A smooth Black Ridge? Or my other go to Smoke Wagon?
Been taking “tasters” from all of them to try to decide. Couldn’t so did some more tasters. Now I’m just intoxicated and having difficulty typing this. Win

Whichever one you choose I’m sure it will be awesome have a great time. Besides you ride bikes, this will be a walk in the park!

👍🏻 I have a house on the river within 100 miles of where you’re going. Let me know about your experience, I feel it’s much more remote then people realize. I get aggravated because they will not allow non-licensed vehicles on trails. It’s perfect for SXS!

My son did the Rio Grand a few years ago, I think they were on the river for 10 days. He said it was an amazing float and great trip. His group didn’t see another soul for days on end. Enjoy!
