A sucker for Islay scotch. Saw this and had to try it. Nice dram. Drinks a little hot at 46% but really tasty. A little sweeter than Lagavulin, but similar. Cheers all!

headed to Louisville this weekend (Thursday through Sunday) for a dental meeting - "Bourbon and Baby Teeth" - I'll do anything for some continuing education and a drink- anyone have any special recommendations for the area - realized too late that Distilleries apparently book out tours months ahead of time - set up for some good eats - didn't know if I should look for anything there I can't get in San Diego - bring some tequila with me just to educate the folks east of the rockies

I never wanted to go Pedo until now. THAT'S A MEETING! I'm guessing there won't be much implant or Perio CE? Is it cool if I just come drink, heckle and harass team members?

I've never heard of the BABT organization until now but I'm thinking three more years of school to specialize in my most despised facet of what we do might not be a bad idea. Respect, Doc...... I can just see how the evenings at he BABT meeting wrap up. A few papoose boards, plenty of nitrous and some Versed could make for one heck of a party.

As far as rare finds from the motherland... Just ask anyone peddling God's elixir which bourbon they have that they aren't supposed to sell or tell you about and just sit and stare, straight faced, right into their eyes for as long as necessary. Don't flinch, no matter what. You're doing it correctly if things get really uncomfortable. And then maybe, just maybe, the mood changes and they show you their leftover Pappygate loot and you come home a winner.

For comparison..... We had a magician at the AAID meeting.

Ortho
Pedo
Prosth
Path
OMFS
and Anesthesiology.

Then of course, the slackers who just went out and started drilling the teeth of you fine folks for a few bucks, like me.

Of course I knew exactly what you meant - but those reactions are some funny shit.
Meeting actually pretty great so far - 7:00 am CE after a long night of bourbon is a tough ask but suffering through.
I think your talk of Pedo, papoose boards, versed and nitrous might have either landed you on a federal watch list or the short list of @Bambi ’s party pals. Still on the look out for some great finds - gotta work on my dead eye stare a bit.
