Dram of the Day

Anyone ever heard of this one.... might be one of the strangest I have ever tasted..... you’ll see what I mean from the description on the bottom of the bottle. Cheers.....(and by the way it was a gift)

Something a little smokey this evening. TRX keyfob for scale. 😂 Cheers all!

Somehow ran into this today, it is hard to find around these parts.
Thankfully almost no one knows what it is so they usually leave it on the shelf.
If you like Blanton's you'll like this but at half the price, which is where Blanton's should be priced if it were priced for its caliber rather than scarcity.

If you want to make note of one of our fearless leader’s recommendations, you only need to screen shot the bottle with that ridiculous little shot glass. No description is necessary. :ROFLMAO:

Love you buddy. ;)

THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENED......

Well I thought this would be an appropriate place to finally celebrate the arrival of the Beast. I couldn’t be happier with this truck so far. I went to San Antonio late yesterday afternoon and finally got possession at around 6:30 pm. It was much later than I would have wanted as I had an eighty mile trip back home. As I think some of you know I live in a very rural area and I was concerned about driving through the hills after dark. I was literally saying a mantra “ don’t hit a deer” over and over again. My concern became well warranted, I was only two miles from my driveway road and what I had been fearing for the last 45 minutes happened...... I briefly looked down to the dash and when I looked up this deer was almost to the middle of the road. I did what your told never to do and swerved to avoid a head on collision with the deer. Of course I couldn’t stop the inevitable . Smashed my right front bumper into the helpless animal. I have lived in Texas for over 8 years and never ever hit a deer. I have slowed down many many times to avoid them. After waiting for more than 6+ months like many of us, my worst nightmare came true. One I just took out a helpless animal and two I just smashed my 1 plus hour old dream truck.

All I can say is I swore out loud cussing the truck gods, No No No this didn’t just happen to me and my new truck. (Also said a quick prayer for the deer) I still had about 7 miles to drive to get home. I have been dreaming about this trucks suspension setup for months and couldn’t wait to get on my 4.5 mile off road easement driveway road. So I stopped the truck on my road and did what any normal person would do... go check out the damage... No not me...I figured out how to setup the custom mode and put it into Baja suspension so I could see how well it works.I realized that there was nothing I could do about any damage so I says to myself let’s rock and roll. Now I got to tell you this truck is an absolute Monster. It worked flawlessly and was a blast bombing down the road. (Never exceeding 3500 rpm)This truck is everything I was hoping for and more.

Sorry for the long winded expose.... my wife was waiting with one of our daughters that is visiting. I got out of the truck and turned on a flashlight to see what damage I did to my beautiful new truck. It was a truck miracle, this beast didn’t have a mark or a smudge, nothing nada unfreakingbelievable. It ate that poor deer and spit her out like it was on a walk in the park. I still can’t believe that happened and the truck survived unscathed in its first encounter with nature.

So I want to make a toast to this incredible machine that defies logic in many many ways. And I especially want to toast all of our forum members for making this agonizing buying process so much more fun and informative. And as many have said to those still waiting hang in there, the long wait is definitely worth it. I have learned a ton and laughed much more than usual. Cheers to you all and Thank You.

Wow, that’s amazing. Glad you’re ok... but more so, I’m glad the truck is ok!

No, really... glad all is well (except for the deer).

Cheers!

I am honored that you shared this peripeteia (google it peasants) in this thread.

Other lesser men think that getting a vague call from their dealer that their truck is on a train is thread worthy ... but not you, NOT CALICHE!!! :)

Congrats my friend, super happy for you. (y) (y) (y)

Congrats and so glad you finally have your truck. You are one of the best on the forum and we look forward to enjoying along on your TRX journey as it unfolds. Stinks about the deer situation but your truck is now battle tested. Next up, an elephant. :D Super happy you can now enjoy the beast.
