Cornerstone performance air intake

I now have the JMB and like that it fills the space and its color matched, but the BWoody was also a nice piece. After driving with both for a bit I think the BWoody is actually louder, but both scream so most probably wouldn't tell the

Absolutely. I’ll include video of whine too for the heck of it.

Have you noticed an increase in IAT temps? It doesn’t use the hood scoops so I am wondering if the temps run hotter than the competitors? I do love the huge pipe (5 inch I think)

Honestly I haven't noticed a big difference unless I am stuck in traffic for a while then it will rise up, but nothing crazy over stock.

Once I get going it cools back down pretty quickly.

Well. My ordered was canceled from the seller I bought the cornerstone from! They pretty much told me that cornerstone is not making them anymore and if they do it will be over five months. I’m thinking about the JMB air intake now. Really wanted the cornerstone but it seems that was too good to be true!
I figured this would happen. Get your money back! Haha. Such a shame cause there is demand for cornerstone and a cool design. Some other company should manufacture them. I’m still gonna wait some more as an intake isn’t a priority for me, but an AFE is prob my second choice. I really want to stick to the cold air intake but let us know how you like the JMB and what the IAT is like. Color matched JMB will look beautiful.

I think I made the best decision tonight. Ditched the JMB and went for the Track Series AFE air carbon fiber edition. I wanted the good engineering with the hood scoop forced air that the trx has. I really looked at JMB and too many things I questioned about if it was a hot air intake because it takes ambient air from engine bay to filters and does not use hood scoop. Supposedly the whine is pretty darn good on this one. More than the S&Bs and K&N. Read somewhere why this one is louder but forgot why, lol. I’ll make sure to have vids and pics ready when I get it and finish installing it. 💪

Here is a pic of order to see what she looks like. It also cleans up the engine bay a good bit so thats a plus!

My eyes are playing tricks again same thing over and over again.

Enjoy the intake. As mentioned temps were very close to stock with JMB except when sitting for long periods. Can't go wrong with any of the mentioned intakes.

Post up the whine video

Haha, I just looked - this thread has 46 posts on it 😅. It's def been one heck of choosing for an intake, lol. Will do with the whine video. Def happy with buy.

I just got this intake minus carbon fiber just the regular. Can’t wait to get it installed. It looks like a great setup!

I was pretty impressed with this style from them. Not sure about you - but the other ones are just too bulky for me. Have you had any other intakes on before this intake you just got?

So I’ve had a few on other TRX’s.

S&B - great fit, finish, but sound wasn’t much louder than stock. I know you can remove the lid but still. Great unit though. Noticed improvements as well.

JMB- finish is great, fitment was meh. One filter touched the hood, had to be rotated, and the heat shield didn’t fit great. The whine was crazy. I mean LOUD. Under part throttle it droned like crazy. Low end loss felt with higher end gained if that makes sense.

I’m hoping this AFE unit can combine them. Great sound improvement with fitment.

Oh man. Having to rotate the filter cause of it touching the hood is a little bit concerning lol. On the intakes we got, I read that it’s louder than the others they sell because this style is not sealed. Not sealed in the way the filters are exposed but someway else. Forgot what it said. That makes the whine noticeably louder on these units. I watched some vids on Facebook and it’s definitely the loudest *really almost sounds just like a cornerstone* than the other ones.

I’ve seen others that didn’t need to rotate. The filter, clamps, and piping of the JMB were top notch. The company is also great to deal with. Just small issues.

I did notice how quick they responded. Definitely impressive. Asked a question in email and got a reply within the hour. Just wish it retained hood scoops and did had a cover for filters

It appears to be a hot item, surprised another company doesn’t “borrow” the design and develop an open air intake using the intake scoops.
Reviving his thread a bit. I gave up on Cornerstone. I did a quick kook around on online today and happened to come across Gearhead Fabricators out of Florida.

Looks like they work extensively with mopars and have stage kits and what surprised me, a cold air intake almost identical to the Cornerstone Intake!

Anyone have them work on their truck or buy parts from them? Are they reputable? They seem to be an inactive vendor on this forum but responded to my emails.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Or should I just stop being stubborn and get an AFE momentum GT

It looks exactly the same with a different engraving on the top.

What’s the reason for not wanting AFE/s&B?

Not a big ticket item but I bought a crankshaft tool from GHF, nice machining and shipped fast. If you had your heart set on the Cornerstone this sure looks identical so you might as well.
