Complete installation instructions for adaptive cruise control ACC for our TRX

I installed the adaptive cruise control on my 2021 TRX. Everything was working fine. I installed a new carbon fiber steering wheel and had to take all the buttons and paddle shifters off the old steering wheel and connect them to the new steering wheel. After I put the new steering wheel on I get the error message with the exclamation mark and it says ACC off. I have gone back in land turned ACC off and Cruise on and error went away but I never swapped out the buttons to the old cruise control buttons. I went back in and turned off cruise control and added ACC with stop and go and I get the same error message. Not sure if the switch could have got messed up or if there is a fuse that could have blown. Alse read that someone said theirs needed a few sleep wake cycles for it to take effect. Any help would be appreciated.

as much as it's going to suck taking the airbag off again, I'm going to say you need to do that an make sure the plug is seated properly in the cruise control switch.

I already took it off and checked the plug. It is seated properly. I am thinking about taking it off and putting the old one back in and then restarting the process.

maybe something made the switch go bad? I added acc to my 21 truck also. Since then I have swapped two steering wheels and had it pulled apart another time to make the custom paddle shifters work and not once did the acc stop working. Let us know how it goes switching back and then starting over.

I figured out the problem. One of the pins on the switch was bent upwards and was not going into the hole it was supposed to go into. The plug was still locking into place but the pin was overtop of the plug.

I am looking for ACC switch for my 2023 TRX, if someone has one to sell, pls lmk, thanks!

Anyone have the part number for a 2022. I have tried ordering 68309592AD from two different mopar parts stores and both have cancelled my order saying it's on back order.

When I ordered that part number (for my 2022), I got a follow up email asking for my VIN. I just replied back and said I had already verified that it works with my VIN, so they shipped it. If you need to provide a VIN, just find a random 2023 VIN and enter it.

Alpha OBD

I installed the switch and updated the settings in alpha OBD but didn't turn off cruise control first. When I went to start it I have all sorts of errors. 4x4 service, non of the 4x4 lights on the switches are on, front and rear sensors, traction control, ABS, all sorts of stuff.

I shut it off changed the setting back to original, turned off and let it cycle, turned it back on and its all the same errors. Then I tried to change the setting in the proper order, cycled the truck back off and on and still all the same errors. I shut it all down for 10 minutes and came back all the errors still. Unhooked the battery for a few minutes, all the same errors.

What can I do? Someone help please

Might need to wait a little longer, like an hour. At least that's what I did, and all the errors were gone.

Currently have the battery unplugged, been about an hour so far so we will see here soon. Ive used alpha OBD on my 2014 ram and never had a single issue and now I'm low key freaking out 😅

Did you do a backup before changing anything? If so you can restore to that. If not, post your system ID and I can compare it to mine.
Where do you find that? Can you text me

Messaged you

Nope didn't work
You messed up. When I did my buddies we were worried about this exact scenario. You have to turn off CC, then activate the other one. Also turn the truck off and just let it sit for like 10 minutes. Seems the problem happens if you fire it up straight away.

My buddies had no issues and works great.

Updated video is back up now.
Good evening. New to TRX ownership. Currently have a 21 that has been tuned by Hp tuners. Will I still be able to navigate through this process you have written? I’m just concerned about having to do a factory reset and messing with tuning? I would think it would only be able to reset to what is there tune and all. Thank you for the write up looking forward to hopefully adding ACC to the truck.
