Complete installation instructions for adaptive cruise control ACC for our TRX

I finally figures how to use mine recently, doh!

But damn it is a nice feature in stop and go traffic and school zones (reg cruise doesnt work at 20mph)
Yah, is there a trick? Mine doesn't work well at all.

Thank you for the guide and instructions. Just did this on my 2022. Coupe of notes:

1) Kept the Push Button in Run the entire process to ensure the car was on the entire time.
2) Had a Tazer so merely used the OBD Link MX to connect to the OBD port directly.
3) AlfaOBD on Android was slightly different but all the steps were the same. The only difference was that searching for “ACC” did not work. Had to use the search term “cruise” to bring up the “ACC Present menu” and find the “w/ stop and go” feature.
4) Once completed, cycled the push button from Run to Off and back to Run 2-3 times. Also turned off the car and locked it for 30+ seconds to ensure all systems went off. Started up the truck and no errors whatsoever. ACC on/off function worked nicely. Will just need to test this out the next few days to see how well it works in practice.

Will a dealer do the programing for you? Or is the only way is to do it your self with alphaOBD

In order for dealers to add it, they had to get authorization from their regional reps to add the "sales code" to the VIN. Some dealers were cool about it, but from what I gather it is discouraged by Stellantis.

Any ideas on the security bypass? I clicked the link but says out of stock and I don't have a tazer. Could try the dealership but it looks like that is a no go as well.

I have it from doing mine. DM me and I'll let you borrow it. Do you have everything else. I wrote this thread but it's been so long since I did it I would have to reread it to do it again. In fact I should have loaned it out all along

I finally did this today. As @Eighty said it took two restarts and about 10 minutes for the warning lights to go away. Works perfectly. I do have a question though, mine displays this every startup now...is this normal? Not a big deal as it goes away in a second or two just curios.

When I installed my digital dash it started to do this too. 🤔

Mine does this.

Hey guys just installed my switch on my 22 Rebel. When i hit the ECU Reset it still shows the error light for the collision avoidance and cruise control. I've reset it a bunch a times. Any tips on what else I can try?

I've unplugged the battery as well.

I also see that there is LIN ECU Reset. What's the difference between "LIN ECU Reset" and "ECU Reset" ?

This install will only work on a TRX any other trim level and you will need ABS module and the hcu, which are extremely expensive and a big pain for install.

Darn all that hard work for nothing :ROFLMAO: Thanks for the quick reply Tyler, your videos are great.

I’m looking for this switch for my 24 TRX but they are on national back order. Anyone have one they want to sell, send me a PM!
Thanks.

I found a button from a member on here that couldn't use it. Got it installed over the weekend and it works great! Thanks for the great links and writeup to help.

As previously stated by others, on the initial restart of the truck I got errors for both cruise control and ACC. I just shut the truck off and let it sit for 20 minutes. Went back out and everything updated properly and worked, so it seems that these trucks need 15+ minutes to think for some reason but hope that helps others.

This is on a 2024 non-final edition. I used the MY 2022+ powernet option when connecting via alphaobd.
