Best Tonneau cover?

Sorry to bring this up again but wanted to update the BAK Industries revolver ordeal.

I am now at the point I would tell anyone do not order their crappy products and while I know some have had a different experience my advice would be with all of the quality control issues save yourself the worry and shop for another brand.

Here is almost 2 week update

Sorry to hear about the bad experience. Definitely looks like yours either had a quality control problem or was damaged in transit. I’m on my 3rd Bakflip cover with zero issues. My X4S is perfect and also works excellent with the Mopar Bed Divider like I had hoped. If I were you I’d demand a replacement.

Wow, hope you get your money back and find something more suitable. You are out your time and aggravation but thanks for taking the time to post a factual account of your experience.

I use the Undercover Armorflex which I have been very happy with the quality and operation of it. However it is a fold up style and does block the rear window when fully open so may not work for you.

I just ordered a super top soft topper. I am concerned about it in the car wash but for the money it does what I want as long as visibility is decent out the rear. We will see the next option is either a real topper with an extra lift or one of the rolling covers that is easy to pull out if I need the bed for the atv etc. still need my refund but glad to have the situation resolved for now in my head anyway.

I would go with the BAK Revolver X4s.
Completely flush, quick to open and close, doesn’t block the window, easy to remove with no tools required.
I’ll second this!!! Just got mine installed. Gonna cost 957 after mail in rebate. Live message them for the best price.

I think it depends on what you intend to use your bed for. I have a bakflip mx4 on my Rebel. I works well and keeps 99% of water out but I hate that it completely blocks the rear window when I have a bed full of bikes on the tailgate pad. I had a retrax pro mx on my raptor and it was pricey but would’ve served me better now. Downside of the retrax is the canister takes up some precious space in the bed.
I have the MX4 and a bed rug. If you have it flipped up you can use the digital rear view (if equipped) and you can see perfect.

Opinions vary but I would avoid Bak and definitely the revolver product that uses the cheap locking rails and skinny wire.

I installed the BakFlip MX4 along with a Bedrug liner and couldn't be happier. No rattles, no leaks and looks great...Nothing not to like.

I cannot comment on any of their other products but like most anything else, you likely will not be happy unless installed properly...

Is that something like this??

Yeah I don’t have any of those issues with mine. With some adjustments I got mine to sit perfectly. He ether got a faulty one or used. Who knows.

I’m on the fence myself about tonneau covers.

My current truck has an inexpensive TonnoPro Tri-Fold that lasted 8 years until the stitching started to give. I gave them a call before the 10 year warranty expired and got a new one no problem.

It doesn’t sit flush to the bed, but I actually see that as a benefit (you get another 1-2” of cargo room for bulkier items).

If I’m making a trip to the hardware store, you can take it off in about 2 minutes max. (Two wingnuts at the front, and then really no trace of a cover at all).

I’m looking at the Roll-N-Lock or Pace Edwards for the TRX, only because I like the idea of the T-Slot, but given the price there’s a good chance I’ll go with another Tonno-Pro (or equivalent… I’m guessing they come from the same overseas factory with different badging). At $250-300 they’re almost disposable compared to the other options

What do you guys recommend for a hard tonneau cover....I had the Ford OEM on my Raptor but my Ram does not have it....I'm seeing a ton of options....any recommendations?
I have the Retrax Pro, Fits perfectly, smooth roll forward and back, heavy duty to where you could actually stand on it if you wanted to. So the only real choices do you use the manual one or do you do the electric one that’s up to you.

Anyone catch any great Labor Day deals, or know if Black Friday/Christmas deals are decent on tonneau covers?

I'll second this. I have the retrax as well. Very sturdy, very smooth, bed remains completely dry. All that said I may sell it. Want to go rambar/tire carrier route, or maybe a cap if I can find one that strikes my fancy... somewhere to put all these dobermans!

Anyone seen this bad boy yet? Just hitting the market from what I've heard.

Just installed my truxedo cover i purchased from trxupgrades.com i spoke with nick and he had it shipped for me at a great price and i had it in 3 days. Install was a breeze.. works perfevt with ram bar.. i did remove the inside bolt of the ram bar. Only complaint is that you have to lift the cover to close the bed. But looks and works great otherwise!

I’ve had a few of the different brands, the Retrax Pro is a good one. It also fits if you have The Ram Bar.
This is exactly what I have, it’s very close to what I used on my raptor, It’s strong it rules nice it’s secure and it’s better than most

Pro X15? I'm going that way. I think they're quite nice.
