DEAL $9000 off MSRP is back @ Granger Motors

I feel bad for you all. This is making me very nervous about what I will find when it is my turn for pick up. Only a 5-6hr drive for me but still. Currently in KZT

Yeah, that post showing the damage isn't making feel too good. I hope mine isn't damaged.

Definitely getting anxious about truck condition as well. Was told 90 - 120 days to delivery when I ordered. A week shy of 5 months now and only D1. Really hope I'm not flying in to travel 25 hours back after a ridiculous wait time for a less than perfect "$100k" truck.

I just recently ordered but I was planning on doing everything online and having a shipping company pick it up and ship it to me when its ready. Now I'm thinking I should fly out there and inspect it first whenever it comes in

I was planning to ship originally but decided I want to out eyes on the truck before it leaves the lot. Cost is going to be comparable for me anyway so it's just the added mileage to consider for me. When my Dad said he was up for the road trip I was sold on picking up.

the one I picked up before xmas had fender damage as well.. They took pics to send me a replacement. Replacement never came ..I just purchased the plastic part myself. Was only $100. There were other scratches on the car itself but they buffed them out after I asked them to do it. Fender piece being plastic had to be replaced

This is a volume dealer. They make a little off selling lots of vehicles. I’m on the West Coast where you can’t get one for MSRP. I have purchased my Raptors through volume dealers as well. Paid invoice for my last one plus free courtesy delivery. If you want to save money and you are willing to wait this is the best route.
Im in Vegas and same situation here can’t touch a raptor or TRX without paying 10-20k ADM. kinda why I went with Granger for the TRX, not the least expensive but closer for the drive. Finger crossed, ordered Dec 31, still in “D”…

Has anyone done the plan C from Granger and how did it turn out? Seems like a good deal for ceramic coating but curious on the quality

Plan C -- (Rust Proof Undercoat, Exterior ceramic coating, and Interior Ceramic coating)
*Highly recommended by customers* $1,695

I’m still waiting on my delivery but this doesn’t sound like a bad deal. I’m curious myself now. Anyone know which ceramic they use and what they undercoat it with? Also, anyone have a picture of their undercoating job completed?

Mine arrived in TX. One of the fender flares was pretty scratched up. Shipper had documented that damage existed at time of pick up (photos and written report). My advice - For those shipping, insist on multiple, quality photos from the Granger TRX team before you sign. This damage was not revealed in the 4 blurry "here is your truck" pictures they sent me.
Please send me a copy of the invoice for the fender and we'll make it right.

Got some more info from Granger on the coating. Does anyone know if this gives the shiner or dull finish? Granger didn’t have any before/after.

For complete transparency the Plan C is an Auto Armor exterior and interior coating as well as the Rust Proof Undercoating. Auto Armor applies Xpel ceramic coating. Does a fantastic job as it repels UV rays, liquids and dirt and protects against scratches.

HMMM, maybe I should order a 2nd truck??? Here’s how I see it playing out~

Dear wifie, unfortunately I am selling your Infiniti x-over and replacing it with a Trx w/702hp. You can choose any color you desire as long as it is silver. Yeah, the gas mileage may be a little different than you’re use to and you may have to fill-up a little more frequently but I am only thinking of your best interests. It will allow you to maneuver through traffic a little better and allow you to get to your destination just a little quicker. After all time is money….(y)

Or I could just say I’m selling your car…Blame Zach due to his great deal on a Trx.
Lol lol lol

** Update **

Good morning everyone! We're still recovering from the last couple of days. 🤜🙂

To start, I want to say that the concerns that have been brought up are absolutely valid. As the selling dealership, it is our responsibility to deliver you a new truck in great condition within a reasonable timeframe of the truck being delivered to us. We are trying to do this while maintaining a very thin margin of error, not only with staffing, but in the sales price of the vehicle. So I'm going to detail the challenges we are facing and what we are doing to combat those. We understand you are purchasing a $90,000+ truck and absolutely should receive a vehicle in excellent condition.

1. How long should an order take? We have seen an average of 5-6 months from order to delivery. That being said, we currently have a vehicle in-transit to us that was ordered in July of 2021 as well as an order that was placed in February that is in-transit to us. Outside of avoiding Level 2 equipment group and ordering a level 1 or no equipment group, I have studied, visited with my Ram rep, he's spoken to supply chain, and I haven't received an answer that has made sense to me. We certainly can't set an expectation on a delivery timeframe, just give you general guidelines of what we've witnessed.

2. Can you contact the carrier to expedite my shipment? Short answer, No. We are not going to do it. We have 2-3 different carriers that are responsible for shipping the vehicle from Kansas city to us. This shipping yard currently has around 125 vehicles that are waiting to be shipped. We cannot dictate their work flow. I know there have been instances where this works, but I know from personal experience that this doesn't work as common practice. Ultimately, they aren't going to listen to our plea for dispatching when they have to manage their work flow. I also don't have the staffing to follow up and try to dictate logistics.

3. What is going on with the damage? Traditionally if we receive 100 trucks in on transport, approximately 4-5 of them will have a small blemsih, scratch or other transportation related issue. On our TRXs being delivered to us, the majority of trucks have had some type of blemish, swirl, scratch etc. I don't know why this has happened and I have communicated this to our regional representatives and they have in-turn communicated to to supply chain. With a big corporation, if change is made, it won't be immediate. We are going to change our process because of this.

Old WorkFlow:
1.Transport drop off
2. Inspect for transport damage
3. Pre-Delivery Mechanical Inspection
4. Arrange Financing/pickup
5. Detail and final inspection day before delivery
6. Customer Pickup

This process worked well for us with very rare exceptions. Now the TRXs are coming in covered with 30-45 days of dust/dirt making it hard to see the smaller scratches/swirls on initial drop off inspection (We are not allowed to wash the vehicle on transportation drop off per the Dealer Policy Handbook, only a touchless wash is allowed). We then catch these items on the final detail/inspection of the vehicle and the customer has booked their flight and we address the issue and make the customer whole at time or after delivery.

New WorkFlow
1.Transport drop off
2. Inspect for transport damage
3. Pre-Delivery Mechanical Inspection
4. Detail Vehicle and Re-inspect
5. Outside Vendor polish and buff and re-inspect exterior of vehicle
6. Arrange Financing/pickup
7. Detail and final inspection day before delivery
8. Customer Pickup

This new workflow will take longer, The outside vendor is here 2x a week and does a great job with buffing, polishing of vehicles. We started having him run through our TRXs last week and he addressed imperfections on approximately 10 trucks. This process does take longer so we'll do our best to balance your expectations after waiting 6-8 months in some cases and wanting the truck ASAP as well as delivering a truck in excellent condition at the time of pickup.

4. Why aren't trucks being delivered faster? The biggest bottleneck that we have is only 3 trucks can fit on a transport at a time because of the size of the truck. A transport can carry up to 8 vehicles, but with the limitation of 3 a lot of times we will see 1-2 transports/day with a load of 3 TRXs on them. We have 83 TRXs currently in-transit to us it takes a while to clear those out 3 at a time.

In conclusion, please keep in mind. We joined this forum to be an asset to the community. We certainly aren't perfect and are working on making it a great experience for everyone. I believe the majority of our customers leave here happy with a great deal on a truck and a quick and easy delivery experience. With the combination of increased volume as well as the dramatic increase of minor damage on these vehicles, we have re-worked our process to make sure we deliver an excellent vehicle. If something wasn't caught previuosly, we without hesitation have taken care of the issue to make it right. There are only a handful of dealers on here and I think they all want to provide an excellent experience to the end consumer. We will do our best to continue that, but certainly there have been more challenges than we originally anticipated.

Zach
