Stellantis Media - The Apex Pickup Returns: Ram’s TRX Is Back as the Fastest and Most Powerful Production Gas Pickup Truck in the World
On the heels of the 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8’s return to the Ram 1500 lineup, TRX ushers in the return of the legendary 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8. When TRX arrives in showrooms, it will deliver an immense 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque.media.stellantisnorthamerica.com
It comes loaded with the rho level 1, carbon package, red accent package, suede headliner or sunroof and maybe ma few other things.
You can get it with a back up gun direct from Ram? No wonder it's not going to be available in California...... the only options you can add above Level 1 are: tow mirrors, tonneau or tire carrier, bead locks, pano sunroof, BUG, running boards or rock rails, hood/bed graphics, and some towing technology stuff.
The Speed limit is dictated by the tires.1. The bloodshot scheme is awful, just plain hideous, we've been making fun of Ford for their R stickers but this is worse, just grade school, trapper keeper stickers level.
2. Still stuck with the moronicly low 118mph speed limiter. May as well just mod your current TRX to easily surpass that 777hp AND go faster.
1st issue with tranny was cracked flex plate, took 4-6 weeks. 2nd time they actually fixed the existing one, new valve body. Wheel bearing was more of a noise/vibration on the front right wheel. Wife screams at me I have a lemon and hates the truck. Just want to hang on for another year or so. Have 75K on it now. Can't imagine I'll buy Stellantis anytime soon.Sounds like you've had real shit luck my man! I'm curious though, How long did it take to get your new tranny covered under powertrain?
Also, what were the symptoms you had of bad wheel bearings?
Thanks for clearing this up. I was equally confused. Actually much cheaper than I was expecting. Do we know if carbon interior will be an option as well?As I understand the descriptions of the SRT TRX, it will have the new Level 1 included (massaging seats, assisted driving, HK, carbon fiber, etc), plus red interior accents. Bedliner is standard now on the RHO, so I assume the same for the SRT TRX. Using the RHO as a comparison truck, the only options you can add above Level 1 are: tow mirrors, tonneau or tire carrier, bead locks, pano sunroof, BUG, running boards or rock rails, hood/bed graphics, and some towing technology stuff.
In other words, the SRT TRX will come pretty well optioned already. You probably can’t add more than about $10k in additional options beyond what it already comes with.
On the RHO, it's included in the Level 1 package. I assume the same for the SRT TRX (but since the TRX will have Level 1 in the base price, it would be there whether you want it or not). Thanks for clearly this up. I was equally confused. Actually much cheaper than I was expecting. Do we know if carbon interior will be an option as well?
That's the part I don't care for. There's an awful lot in there that I would not want.... it would be there whether you want it or not.
there are rumors about a street truck coming out in the next few days. Wonder that if one would wet your whistle. That's the part I don't care for. There's an awful lot in there that I would not want.
With some luck, maybe they'll offer a more toned down version at some point - which would be my first choice even if the price was the same.
Were you having tranny slippage, gear grinding or anything noticeable while driving before replacing 1st or 2nd one?1st issue with tranny was cracked flex plate, took 4-6 weeks. 2nd time they actually fixed the existing one, new valve body. I just found out the diesel wagon has an inline 6. That's virtually a dealbreaker for me. I'm old school and cannot fathom anything other than a v8+ in a pickup (even if it has less power). At least Ford & Chev still have v8 diesels in their 2500s...Right now if RAM was pretty much flawless in there service and support (yeah LOL) id probably think very hard about another truck, the diesel power wagon with double lockers, and keep my TRX. Only time will tell if they fix all the issues.
It may very well be quite appealing to me, but...the main reason (okay, excuse) I got the TRX was to have something suitable for 100-300 mile drives during or after a major snowfall, before the plows got to do their thing.there are rumors about a street truck coming out in the next few days. Wonder that if one would wet your whistle.
The Cummins is pretty much the gold standard for small diesels. Don't knock it until you try it.I just found out the diesel wagon has an inline 6. That's virtually a dealbreaker for me.
Ya think? Thanks Captain Obvious...The Speed limit is dictated by the tires.
If it is so obvious, why complaining about it?Ya think? Thanks Captain Obvious...
I was under the mistaken and stupid impression that all the Cummins diesels were V8sThe Cummins is pretty much the gold standard for small diesels. Don't knock it until you try it.

I hope that 6-7 thing is dead by the time the Power Wagon is on the streets. I'm so tired of it popping up in EVERY conversation with my daughter...Plus if you have one, kids will love it. Ask them what the best diesel motor is. They will all say 6.7![]()
