HOT! 2027 RAM TRX is Back as the Fastest and Most Powerful Production Gas Pickup Truck in the World

I just saw an interview on Youtube with someone at Mark Dodge who stated that its conplicated but looks to be allocated at the start and will be based off 1500 sales from jan-march or something like that. He did explain that his feeling was this is how it would start initially, then go to sold orders in the future. If this is the case we may not see the good discounts for a little while but hopefully its not too long.
I don’t think that interview was with anyone from MD, but maybe I’m the one confused. If you can find it, post it here.

I do recall someone posting this “allocation initially” scenario, but it was info from an unidentified dealer.

I can say: “My dealer” says they are already in production & shipping to dealers as we speak. “My salesman” also said the discounts will be huge, but until the first trucks hit, she can’t divulge the secret!

Who is “my dealer” and “my salesperson”? Oh, I can’t say or they won’t sell me a TRX. Ha! Such BS!

UPDATE: Just saw the Ctech video & TRX conversation with MD. His answer on allocations is intentionally vague…like, “they may sort of” do an allocation initially. Like “sort of being pregnant” initially.

This is from my local dealer. Just another point of reference.
He has already told me they will sell at MSRP. If allocation only maybe not be bad. If they produce all sold orders…..discounts should happen. Time will tell.

Def was Mark Dodge. It was discussion on hemi 1500s and of course TRX came up. Hopefully the link works.

My deposit that I put down was returned back to me. Not a good sign as I take that as we are not honoring that massive discount to MSRP we said we would.

Why return the money, I am fine if they held the deposit until January as long as I get that good price.
Any dealer that was committing to a specific price or discount, and taking your money, was getting out in front of their skis quite a bit.
While I can see how you'd rather they keep their money AND their word, if you have to give up one of the two you're better off this way.

Yeah, it was A-a-ron. GSM at Mark. He was just thinking out loud a bit - wasn't certain of the TRX rollout.

If that guy doesn't know...I doubt anyone does.
He's referencing a sparsely worded explanation that we got a few months ago, that was VERY strange in how it was laid out and doesn't really make sense. Not in the "I don't like it" way, but more in a "the math don't math" way. So we're not entirely sure that their allocation teaser was fully thought out or at least not detailed out in an actionable plan. Our attempts to get supporting documents or clarification were met with grace and cordialness, but not any further detail to confirm or deny.

Imma try to sell a few extra 1500s this month just to be sure we're #1 in the mean time.

I find the below emailed comments from Shane with the RAM Information Center interesting. @AnthonyRI does this make sense?

“As for your question about the 2027 RAM TRX, the availability of the order guide and the timing for when orders can be placed are handled directly by authorized RAM dealers. We recommend reaching out to your preferred RAM dealer, as they will have the most up-to-date information on future model availability and ordering timelines”

And for your next act?

I think what they're saying is that Ram customer care is not the channel to receive info about vehicles for sale or available to order, which is true.
We don't have the code guide yet, orders are not open yet, and we don't know how many orders we will get to place.

Ahhh ok, thank you and HAPPY Friday. I interpreted it as the ‘27 TRX orders won’t be available online, only directly through a dealer, which may could possibly be done today 😬

While the Ram website may initially give the impression that trucks can be "ordered online" that is just a lead-generation system.
You can build out a laramie online, and "start order process" but what it's doing is just sending your inquiry and info to a dealer where it gets buried in the CRM, may never be found like a wish in a well.
It all goes through a dealer, one way or another.

Yeah we can get Jay Leno driving the rumblebee that was announced 3 weeks ago but cant get any videos of the 27 TRX which was announced 6 months ago. Got it
Right!?! Shiiiit, I’ll even take a Jay Leno sitting in traffic talking the entire test drive video of the TRX SRT.

The only thing that makes sense regarding the TRX SRT radio silence to me is that they’re still tweaking options before showing us any kind of documented final version. I don’t even care if I can’t order it yet. Just want SOMETHING.

The Rumble Bee is a completely new truck, so I can see why they are promoting it. It's also a segment that hasn't sold very well in the past, so Tim needs to get the word out. The TRX is largely the same and Jay has already driven it, so I don't see the need to be as aggressive promoting it.

TRX Forum Favs 👍
