HOT! 2027 RAM TRX is Back as the Fastest and Most Powerful Production Gas Pickup Truck in the World

If it is so obvious, why complaining about it?
I don't think that there is a street legal offroad tire in that size range with a speed rating higher than 118mph (T)
I would assume that Dodge stayed with that tire to point out the higher top speed compared to the Raptor R. (Obviously?) jmpo
You can tell you're new here. 🍻

Eww no lol. I'm definitely a V-8 or better guy when it comes to gassers. Buuut Cummins is where it's at with diesels especially if you pull heavy. Except for them being ruined by def nonsense. Pop the hood on a big rig, they "only" have six 😉.

Plus if you have one, kids will love it. Ask them what the best diesel motor is. They will all say 6.7 🙈🤣😆
yea that's another dealbreaker for me. I have to be able to delete all that Def crap and juice her up a bit. I know they cracked down on the diesels like crazy but i hear things are turning around a bit. I remember racing a few dualies back in the day and they would eat my lunch until 100mph. Never seen anything launch that hard in my life

Check it out. I found 1/2 throttle rick out here in coloraydo 🧐.

I was under the mistaken and stupid impression that all the Cummins diesels were V8s 🫣
Here is a 60 liter v16 Cummins diesel. I had to do a failure analysis on it, oil coolers failed and sent water through the oil. My coworker is 6'4.

And this is a natural gas 50 liter V16 Cummins I had to tear down and do failure analysis on. Spun a bearing and bent a rod. Had more pictures but had to get a new phone when mine flew off my bike at 80mph. 2 months ago, a 38 liter V12 had a crankshaft that was split in 2, it was like 2 v6's in one block🤣

There isnt a Level 2 anymore on the Gen 2.
Looks like the options checklist will be short.
That’s what I thought I read somewhere, that the $102K was going to already be close to equivalent to my old level 2 2021.

It comes loaded with the rho level 1, carbon package, red accent package, suede headliner or sunroof and maybe ma few other things.
I sure hope there is an option to delete that red accent package. I hate getting forced into loud interior and exterior red bits.

Under warranty the driveshaft has been replaced twice, and I’ve had the fancy lube job done once.
I will see if the dealer will replace mine then. Any advise on how I should describe/phrase it to my service advisor?

Those for ships?
The first one came from a ship, the second was from sunbeam rentals but I can't remember what it was for. The 3rd one I believe came from a natural gas compressor. We just get the engines in and rebuild them, not sure where all of them come from

That's the part I don't care for. There's an awful lot in there that I would not want.

With some luck, maybe they'll offer a more toned down version at some point - which would be my first choice even if the price was the same.
When you say “toned down” do you mean the paint/graphics package on the Bloodshot edition, or the standard options that all TRX’s will come with?

My service department is really good. I explained to my rep what was going on and they verified the symptoms and replaced the shaft. The second time the clunk came back they did the fancy lube job. The third time it came back they replaced the driveshaft again. Just make sure the clunk is noticeable when you go in. It doesn’t do it much if it’s cold. The warmer weather really makes the clunk more noticeable.

Thanks, I’ll mention it. I didn’t realize that in cold weather it’s not as bad.

No, wasn't referring to the paint or graphics, although I definitely would prefer that being plain, too.

I'd like a simplified TRX that isn't filled with tech and nannies I don't want or need. And fancy interior fluff doesn't do anything for me either.

Very handy for that commute from Missoula to Miles City… 😂
I’ve done that drive and more. From Missoula to a ranch south east of Ekalaka (7 miles west of the South Dakota border) 650 miles one way. The hands free part of I90 would have been nice.
