2023+ digital cluster swap (COMPLETE WRITE UP)

I just have to plug into an OBDII kiosk for emissions tests every other year here. It’s self serve and I can input whatever mileage I want. So I’ve been dragging my ass on this (and most other TRX-related things). Trying to finish an LS swap on my Olds currently.

My cluster was delivered to United Radio This morning. I anticipate that it will be done tomorrow. I will probably pay the extra $22 for Next Day Air so I can get the truck inspected on Saturday

Got the call today shortly after 3 EST and the mileage set is done. I asked for the next day air shipping and she added to my bill. My total was $166.42. For that price they also did provide me with a UPS ground label to ship the cluster to them. All said I don’t think it’s that bad of a price. I would have paid this 2 years ago if I knew it was available.

yeah.. my tracking shows for a Tuesday delivery.. they dropped the ball there, they are issuing a refund on the extra $22 for the expedited shipping costs and apologized for the error.

Funny you ask, I responded by to my original tracking email asking about the delay instead of the shipping I paid for, she apologized, shipped a SECOND PROGRAMMED CLUSTER OVERNIGHT and a return label so when the other arrives next week, I can return that one!!!!!! I have already confirmed the tracking, scheduled delivery tomorrow!! What amazing customer service. I wasn't dealing with Missy though, it was Nicole.

They are the company that receives and repairs all of Stellantis warranty claim clusters. The brand new ones that dealerships order go to them first for the mileage correction, since dealerships can’t be involved in that.
So it’s plausible that they have a bunch of repaired clusters laying around.

this actually answers a few questions I had about them, specifically "they had an extra cluster lying around" and " how did they figure out how to adjust the mileage"? Thanks @Jimmy07

Got the cluster installed and all is well. I put on the form 22,538 (it said to exclude tenths). Custer is showing 22,537.7 so definitely close enough. From correcting the mileage on my original cluster it’s practicaly impossible to get it exact to the thenth.

For me It was basically a week. It definitely could have been faster 1 if you overnight to them, and 2. if I didn’t ship it Friday afternoon. It sat in one place most of the weekend. Also I would have had it yesterday if they shipped it back Next Day Air instead of ground. I got lucky that I’m only one state away and it still came quickly with ground.

Overall I highly recommend using them.

I don’t know if I was just blind to it hoping to get the ability to do it for free with AlfaOBD, but after the first year of having to swap back in the original one in the cold of winter to get the truck inspected I would have paid $150 to get it corrected in a heartbeat if I knew I could have shipped it to United Radio. I might have even said screw it right from the start if I knew they could do it.

I have a 2021 RAM 1500, UC5 upgraded radio, original bcm and cluster has all lites on and steering wheel controls donl't work (up, down, left, right and "ok").

Any thoughts or advice? What did I forget or do wrong?

After reading the entire thread, I was under the impression I don't need the 2023 bcm as long as I have the modules from skuppy as they connect inline to my original bcm. Is that not correct?

did you swap the switch on the steering wheel so the buttons are labeled correctly or just keep the original?
