2022 Ram TRX latest info

It's crazy but the norm, that chrysler opens up the order banks without pricing.

No real option change to speak of. Carryover on everything. I'm still showing the same colors, but maybe orange is late availability. It isn't showing as an option yet.
I’m trying to order orange but may be out of luck. I was told it was available last Friday when it opened but then dropped off. My GM is awaiting an explanation on that and pricing before we move forward. Options wise-sounds like there may be a consolidation of a couple from last year but since my order isn’t locked not sure just yet.

I think all the options stayed the same. Usually pricing makes it's way out by months end.

My guess is that it's a late availability option that will come out mid-year.

Hi Guys, I just found this forum and I appreciate all the great info. I went to a dealership in San Antonio yesterday intending to order a 2021 TRX loaded the way I want (after getting them to confirm on the phone for me that they would sell it to me at MSRP). When I got there and talked to the GM, I found out that they could no longer order the 2021s and that my truck would be a 2022 year model. He also mentioned that pricing wasn't available yet, but he didn't expect the MSRP to go up more than $500 from the 2021 I had built out on the RAM website. I've got my build sheet form the dealership and am waiting. They told me to expect 3-4 months for delivery of the vehicle. Thanks for the info on Uconnect 5, I hope it's included, but haven't been able to confirm yet.

I would not count on the price to only go up $500. That’s less than 1% on even a base truck. Nothing about the current state of things would lead me to that conclusion. Demand is crazy. Supply chain still broken. And if you annualize yesterday’s numbers you see we could be heading for near 10% inflation on the year.

I know I’m a broken record and a Debbie Downer. But the people working the money printers are delusional and anyone can see what’s coming.

Here's the available options for 22.

Just for comparison, the base price of the 21 models went up twice since the first of the year. First time was $200, then another $130. Some of the options also changed price mid stream as well. A year model change is an even better time to increase pricing.

I'll be shocked if the price only goes up $500. I went to order a new car trailer two weeks ago, and the dealer told me it would be 7-8 MONTHS for delivery, and he could not tell me what the price would be until 30 days before delivery. He also said the pricing had gone up 10% in just the last month. I'm anticipating a $5k price increase for a fully loaded one, but hope it is offset by being able to get a discount from MSRP on orders within a few months.

I was going to order a 22 but found and bought a 21 today. Dealer was asking 10k over but removed that and sold it to me at MSRP. Had to go 300 miles to get it but it’s mine and home now

Any further updates on timing or additional changes to the 2022?
I ordered my trx on 5/20 and they said it would be a 2022. said was gonna be about 9 weeks thats how long the one before mine took. they tried to mark it up 2400$ from the build price that i did online which apparently was on the 2021 model but they locked me in at the 2021 price. 2 days after i ordered they already started building and already had a VIN#. they didnt have any other colors to choose from other then the norm 2021 colors at the time

The one ordered before yours that took 9 weeks isn't a MY22. They haven't started building any MY22's yet, that won't happen until the end of July at the earliest. Does your VIN have MN in it?

idk just what they said i didn't verify it myself they wouldn't let me look at it because it was already sold.. they didn't give me the vin. i attempted to make some changes and they said it was to late that they had a vin already. i was in a hurry and was mad i didn't ask for the Vin afterwards but ill call and ask tomorrow and give an update when i have one.

I ordered my MY22 on 5/13 (they were only accepting 2022 model year orders by then, no more 2021). However, while I did get the dealer to commit to honoring MSRP pricing, they couldn't lock in on what that pricing was because they don't have MSRP pricing for MY22 TRXs yet (RAM hasn't released pricing yet). So, I'd be highly surprised if your dealer has a "firm fixed price" he's committing to right now as he won't know what his cost will be yet. Also, the rumor (and it's just rumor at this point) is that the MY22 production should start around the last week in July, they will continue to build the MY2021 trucks they already have orders for between now and then. I would expect my truck to be built 6-8 weeks AFTER the start of MY22 production (whenever that will be). So, please don't expect that "9 week" estimate to be anywhere near accurate for you. Also, you should get your dealer to commit to pricing as it relates to MSRP (either some amount under MSRP like the dealer on this forum taking orders at $5000 under MSRP, or at worst at MSRP), but since we won't know pricing (rumor is that RAM will release pricing for MY22 in mid-June), you probably shouldn't relay on any hard price the dealer is willing to set right now. I hope to get a firm MSRP quote from my dealer once pricing is released in June.

when he brought it to the manager to order he came back to me stating it was gonna be a 2022. yes they did say they didn't have exact pricing. which i wasn't comfortable with, i told them that id put $ down only with the exception that they matched the price or allowed me to have my $ back if it was more then i wanted to spend.. when he came back a 2nd time from the manager he came back with a 2400$ price increase. I'm not saying they are right or wrong I'm sayin what i experienced. so they decided to honor the price. and i agree im not holding my breathe on the 9 week mark. ive ordered several cars some early some later then projected date. i was told 8 to 12 weeks and that the one they just got in the day i was there took 9 weeks. made it sound like it was a 2022 but i could of misunderstood him
